Trump sues journalist after calling him a millionaire.

He called him a millionaire and not a billionaire. That was enough for the well-known businessman Donald Trump to sue an American journalist, Timothy L. O'Brien, who questioned the value of his wealth.

Trump claims that his reputation has been damaged and that he has lost many business opportunities because of the story.

A judge said she will decide within two months whether the case will be dismissed or go to trial. The journalist, who is currently the editor of the New York Times, said he had no malicious intent.

In his lawsuit, Trump says his wealth is difficult to quantify because it fluctuates due to ups and downs in markets, attitudes and sentiment.

"You cannot tell a journalist that you are getting poorer. If this happened, I would not like to comment on it", said the businessman.

The journalist's lawyer said that by including Trump's fortune, he would attract attention and sell more books.

He added that Trump cannot prove that the journalist has defamed and that he has lost business because of him. Don't mess with the Don

To be very honest I'm not invested anywhere, but was twitching to buy Cpi but held back. The cpi share price destruction was foreseen and totally unavoidable due solely to Trump’s insanely gyrating tariffs announcements which in my opinion was purposely done to throw off many investors off their high chairs with many margin based investments into full liquidation to avoid a worser outcome. I would guess bets were placed well ahead before Trump gave the go ahead orders. They even said that it wouldn't last and soon would recover and so it did exactly that. Obviously your wouldn't put the entire kitchen sink unless you were part of Trump’s inner circle. They didn't call him for nothing Trump The Art of Deal.

I remembered many years ago when a New York paper described him as a multi Millionaire. He was just shy of a few millions to become for the first time a billionaire. He didn't like it and went on to sue their butts and won the right not be called a multi Millionaire by the leading US paper. I remember many years ago when he was a director of a company that wasn't doing too good. He sold his share of the partnership to one of the directors and waited for the business to fold 1 year after and came back to buy the business assets for peanuts and then restarted the business to then sell it with big mark up. He's the man that can't stop himself for doing business for the right deal.

Anyhow, tomorrow cpi should retake back what it lost over those red days. I do hope that the small short position will eventually disappear. You've got to be really stupid not to have already closed it by now. Take care all. Good luck

Trump and art of deal has made some folks very rich and some folks very poor or sell out at a loss on the back of his tariff madness. God, that was some scary days we just seen passing by without a stop. Anyhow, the question is:

Will Cpi rebound after all that sea of red? Yes, I think so. I would say that it should open at around 14.99p

Can it get to 11p?

That would be a better question to ask. I would answer with a I really don't know. The stock market is getting hammered as I type this message. I'm currently not invested in any stock or investment of any kind. Be brave guys. The weakest stock will always get the most share price destruction. Cpi is a currently weak stock and could reach 11p on the back of Trump's recent tariff announcement.

I just checked the notorious RBC for an update on their Capita rating and unfortunately they've published the same target price still no change sitting at 17p Reiterate.

Today the UK stocks in general are not having a good day. So, please take notice that perhaps Cpi its getting affected by the general downcast sentiment.

What you've said is what I feared the most and kept me totally out of cpi which was due to a nightmarish dream where I saw myself waking up at 8am to see cpi trading at 8p after publishing their full years results. At time I was invested at 15.5p and held it all the way down to 12 8p before it rebounded over the months as far as plus 22p.

That was last year. I sold out last summer and never bought it again. However, I do follow it now and again. Anyhow, I wish you all the best for tomorrow. Make that wish

Citi, HSBC, Morgan Stanley and Royal Bank of Canada fined £100m by competition regulator.

They basically exchanged messages internally using the expensive Bloomberg Terminal platform which we all know by now is a goldmine of very high grade financial data. RBC are scum and up to their necks and the UK HMRC have still got their teeth stuck into some historical investments that could result making them pay out many more millions more in unpaid Capital gains.

RBC received the largest fine (£34.2m), followed by Morgan Stanley (£29.7m), HSBC (£23.4m) and Citi (£17.2m). Deutsche Bank was exempt from fines after alerting the CMA to wrongdoing. Citi's penalty was reduced by more than 50% after it agreed to a settlement during the investigation.

Cpi stock Its behaving like a 'zombie' stock like one of those zombie 🚢 wondering around the sea 🌊 without a captain and a crew on board.

I'm still not invested in any stock.

Since selling out of Cpi, it has been a long suffering and nauseating even to watch from a bystander view. I do feel sorry for the investors who are sitting with it waiting to break even or better a small profit return.
