RE: Your life is going to change13 Jun 2023 18:33
Testing to see why my reply gets censored - I'm trying to find a video I saw a couple of months ago -- an interview with a man who has a son with severe breathing difficulties, so obviously he wants clean air. He tells of how these restrictions have made his life so much harder and harder to care for his son. He has a lot to say on the sort of issues people are facing. You don't seem to care about people who are affected.
"have been done by elected local politicians, voluntarily elected by the people of Oxford" - did the people know what they were voting for? No. See in that video above, many people in Oxford were ignorant of the plans. Many still are. This is one of the points in other articles I posted, it is being done by stealth or deception, for example, they have meetings where local people can voice their objections - but see the use of "facilitators", highly trained psychologists, to control the discussion and direct the outcome to be in favour of the plans.
"Shops may well have concerns about footfall, these schemes may push traffic to surrounding roads, issues around data collection (invasion of privacy risks). These are valid issues and should be managed" - concerns? They might close and people lose their businesses, but you don't seem to care. "These are valid issues and should be managed" - what does that mean?
