I am not claiming that that one event will force them to back-track, but expect more of them and possibly a huge London march by Greenpeace, Just Stop Oil and other groups as part of a wider campaign.

I know I huff and puff a lot, but I am not a bigot, I do change my if the evidence shows me to be in the wrong and when I post an opinion rather than facts, I think I make it plain that it just my view, and I concede, as I said in my previous post "Of course I could be proved wrong".

So I will take that information you have posted into account, although the claims about the amounts of money given to the fossil fuel industry have to be treated with caution.

I will explain that remark after I have time to do a bit of research.

Of course I could be proved wrong with my claim that Sunak doesn't want to issue new licences and they might tbe announced, but there is evidence to back up my claim.

In the last two days there has been news of two more broken promises by the government, and this morning on the Radio Four Today programme they said, about one of those pledges, Sunak had said that he would "move heaven and Earth to see that it happened" - guess what - it didn't happen.

Then there is my claim that he wants the green lobby to force him to back-track and not allow any new drilling - see that Greenpeace mob at his house.

I saw the headlines on two of this morining's newspapers - "How could this happen" and "How was this allowed to happen" - shock, outrage.

Of course it was allowed to happen. I believe there is even a chance that Sunak was behind it. Remenber Cameron and the IF Campaign?

So here we see two tactics that they use often - delay and staged events that they claim forced them to go back on promises the made.

It was last year when the NSTA announced that there would a 33rd Round of new licences, and there would be over 100 of them.

Last year - so when Sunak said that HE was going to grant 100 new licences, he coudn't have meant the ones in the 33rd Round as he said NEW ones.

So that means we are getting over 100 from the NSTA and another 100 or more from Sunak. That is over 200 licences !

Good news at last.

"Let's stick to DELT relevant discussions!" - it is relevant. It is about energy and it is the bigger picture. DELT doesn't exist in a vacuum.

Also, it is very important that the eco \ green lies are countered and truth gets out otherwise these eco-zealots will make our lives unbearable and look at the harm that the so-called green technologies are doing to the planet.

In the 1970s I was a supporter of the green cause long before most people took an interest.but the lies and hypocrisy from the greenes helped me to see the light.

Do you remember Brent Spar - what the eco-mob said about it - it was headlines in all the newspapers. Later, when Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth admitted that what they said wasn't true and they apologised to Shell, that hardly made the news - cover up.

It's a scam and the ordinary people will suffer.

The elite are exempt from the Net Zero cr ap, they can carry on using as much energy as they like (official - yachts are exempt and huge gas guzzlers are exempt from the ULEZ charges so long as they are new cars, just two examples - I back up things I say with evidence).

I had the Radio Four news on while I was getting on with other things.

I heard Grant Shapps talking before he went into this morning's meeting with the energy companies. I must admit that he sounds committed and he put up quite a good case for the need for gas and oil.

One thing I didn't like was that after they played that interview, Simon Jack gave his views and he said that the energy companies were there mainly to talk about carbon capture.

See what I mean with what I said about that official government announcement - see the .gov.uk web site. There is a bit of wishy-washy, tricky language talk about new oil and gas licences, but once it gets on to carbon capture, that is all it talks about for the rest of the document - the by far greater part of the announcement.

I believe the meeting has ended - did Slippery Sunak announce the awards of the "new" licenses - which companies have been granted licences?

Then, a few days ago he had another go at me, but, said he was not attacking me.

I was able to use his own words to prove that to be not true. Note in his Nov 29th post - calling me two-faced and a little creature, also claims that I am on Twitter - I am not. He makes demeaning and insulting remarks, makes totally unfounded allegations and then he had the audacity to claim that he didn't attack me.

He was obviously embarrassed when I showed him up for his lies, duplicity and guttersnipe mentality (use of the F word)

I have other things to do at the moment, but later I'll find the post he made with the death wish.

With regard to something I mentioned about broken promises - In autumn 2022, the UK Government said that all patients would be able to see their GP within two weeks. It was, of course, another failure. (So far, every single promise the UK government has made has been broken or abandoned.) Over 38 million patients have now waited longer than two weeks to see their GP.

It's a disgrace - billions of pounds wasted because of lies, birds, bats, whales and dolphins being slaughtered because of wind turbines (remember when the rallying cry of the greenies was "Save The Whale"? Now they enjoy killing them), and we face power cuts and blackouts this winter because a shortage of gas. We were lucky last winter. It was one of the mildest ever, but the forecast for the coming winter is for a very harsh one.

There is no doubt that in this country many, many more people die from the cold than from heat.

Have you read my comments about there being a lots of smoke and mirrors, duplicity and so on?

For example - "The meeting comes just days after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak committed to granting hundreds of new licenses for oil and gas production in the North Sea" - what NEW licences - the ones that should have been announce din Q2 by the NSTA - are they really NEW? They are late.

Perhaps you don't have an opinion, fair enough. My waffle could turn out to be a load of hot air, time will tell, but I don't trust them - and for good reason. I keep using two of Cameron's trickiness as examples of their tricks, but there are lots more and Sunak has a track record of broken promises.

In my view a lot of the talk is about winning votes and they don't mean what they say.

They have a balancing act - they don't really want NS oil and gas, they want wind farms and solar power, but they don't want the lights to go out, so they need a bit of gas, so hopefully they will do something to the benefit of DELT.
