Not really (as in feel for those robbed) this is exactly what the brokers want. Don't know why anyone thinks ohh their not paying a divi this time and sell your shares. That divi loss would of just been gained if you bought more shares whilst it was down. Long term hold / forever direct line is.

Mate I think this is where shareholders need abit of reality - this stuff happens and is the perfect chance for you to add more shares at a discounted price. the discount in share price makes up for the divi loss this time, but will return and price will rise

Just bought at 178 and now it’s dropped - still good entry point now to sit on and the divis will return. Be mad to sell, should be buying more

HL Shares were at £17 2a couple of months ago.. all it takes is for a broker to upgrade then it will go up again. Think the fossil owners will sell when they need money - lansdown owns bristol sport, he pumps a ton of money into that - he doesn't dump hl shares because its a bad business, just invests in his bristol empire

They've reported profit up 8% before tax to £366 million!!

Ordinary dividend per share is increased 3%
The total dividend stated as down 8% compared to last year as they sold off funds library which was paid to investors in the special. So its actually increased, its being compared to a temp bonus!

disagree, HL's fund market is on another level to any broker.. they make a margin for all the assets held in the account.
The dealing fee is a bit steep, but apart from that i don't see any risk to HL at all. Robin hood's equilivent is freetrade which is good, but its app only and the info on the stocks are very basic... HL isn't about day trading or retail investors buying 10 stocks of GME.
