By the way I should say that my shares attitude is "occasional punt for long term high reward" in no way am I a pro of any sort so everyone can ignore me I have no insight at all. My only punts in history have been M&S (neutral), TCG (huge win) and SHG (moderate loss).
No I'm not back in, as I won't try to catch a falling knife or put punt money in here, once bitten twice shy. It's cos I believe that politics are unsteady and I do see a threat of the nightmare sort here, though hope I'm very wrong. With a solid news flow and upward movement I might be tempted, probably very much tempted as upside is huge here. GLA.
Worry is regarding possible nationalisation/ asset siezing/ takeover being threathened by the government. I swallowed a £13k loss, getting out at 4.50p. There hasn't been any sign of upward movement from the current 3.50p or thereabouts. Acacia has been doing reasonably with good news from its Kenya operations. SHG has been stuck a good while now. I am awaiting good news from Acacia talks definitely not acting on rumour only.
Sold up. £13k loss over 2 years. Decided between CEY and SHG, Backed the wrong horse. CEY 4xo ver same period. Thought Tanzania better bet than Egypt, how wrong can you be. No worries life goes on, win some lose some. Won on TCG then paid it out in a divorce settlement then lost on SHG. It's life eh.
Mate, I wouldn't buy at any price that is still falling or stagnant. Any number can be halved.
