The Premier League is facing a mammoth bill if the season cannot be completed after the decision was made for all professional football in England to be suspended until at least April due to the coronavirus outbreak.

I'm not the one who needs to get real. The facts are SKY and BT have a contract for for live football games if the EPL & EFL break their contact with SKY and BT then obviously they will want compensation. It's not rocket science.

I read an article this morning claiming that if the football season's remaining games aren't played, SKY and BT will want £750 million returned to them. The remaining matches will be played I'm sure of that at some stage in the summer.

Yes we all know in this uncertain time we cannot count on receiving a dividend. BT IMHO will pay a dividend, they may decide to cut the dividend, but any dividend is better than no dividend.

I agree Notakin, you will find that the only the negative none shareholders amongst us will highlight the BT sport, yet they won't see the positives.

Once again BT basher Toff points out the negative share price movements in BT over the past two days. Yes the massive drops are Wednesday down 0.95%, Thursday down 0.21%. But Toff conveniently doesn't include Tuesday's rise of 12.77%, I wonder why Toff doesn't give a balanced fair opinion? Could the reason be because he suffering after deciding to make his paper loss into an actual loss by selling out of BT? Time will tell if he made the wrong decision selling BT.

Take a look at the BT share price in 2025, if BT haven't received a takeover by then, I'm expecting the share price to start with at least a 3. Time will tell Toff who's right and who's wrong. BT are cheap, even in your eyes.

I'm willing to bide my time and sit it out until the market changes.

Time will tell Lamtree, I hope that it works out for him, but he may move into another share that also goes down, there are no guarantees.

Fleccy, I was going to say the above yesterday to Toff, but decided against it, I thought that with Toff being an ex professional he would have known about the share placing in regards to the ending of the USA ADR shares. I noticed the RNS at 7am. This obviously played a part in yesterdays weak 0.95% share price movement, not forgetting the 12.77% rise the previous day. Shame Toff sold BT yesterday, he sold out too soon. It just goes to show even the experts can get it wrong.

Spot on Fleccy, my sentiments exactly. There are posters on most if not all discussion boards giving their negative opinions. It baffles me why people who have no interest in say BT waste their day trying to point score and try and make the investor look foolish, particularly when a share price has took a hit. This in my opinion says a lot about a person. I can only think that it makes them feel better about themselves at someone else's expense. Some people lead sad lives.

I had to laugh at our friend Smartie over on the ADVFN board giving himself a pat on the back, after purchasing 2,000 shares. Rockefeller he's not.

Lamtree, get your donation ready. Lol. Even if it takes until 2027, I will have reaped in another two years of dividends. BT will come good mark my words.

Tofff, I'm of the same opinion as Fleccy, I see great potential in BT going forward. Once FTTP is completed say, in year 2025 the cost saving going forward could be mind blowing, this will feed to the bottom line. I have time on my side, to wait out this time frame, and hopefully reap the rewards. IMHO, BT are on sale at a bargain price. The market disagrees with me at the moment, but markets also get things wrong. The patient BT investor will be handsomely rewarded.

Toff, BT rose 15.04p or 12.77% yesterday, outperforming the FTSE100 by 3.42%.

"50%" WOW, that much? I was thinking more like 25%....... Plus all the other expenses that go with it like vehicle's, tools, insurance, tax. I'm sure that there will be other savings too. This makes BT a great long term investment.
