The dividend cover has been less than 1 for sometime. Can someone explain why they keep paying out good dividends, but can't cover them from profits?

Sebo10 AIM shares are still just shares. I was very fortunate to have purchased a blue chip shares call Rolls Royce at 89 pence, and, they have done well. I am in Tower for a reason, namely, they are high risk high reward (a small part of my portfolio). I like JA, having met him personally at the recent AGM, he is the right person at the top to have. He also has 9.57% of the company, another big like factor in the equation. The potential producing fields are of great interest to me (and I suspect you). So there are enormous plus factors, and I have been purchasing more shares quite recently. However we still have not found anything oil wise (yet). If we do, then, this share could go Sky High, however, realistically, if we don't then there are consequences. Good luck.

Kever I concur with your suggestion that rig availability it not a problem, albeit at the correct price. My own conclusion is that money for the rig is the challenge. I believe a rights issue is a no go area. Mezzanine finance (debt for equity) is highly unlikely; 15 years ago this would not have been a problem, investor appetite would be available, people would have gladly parted with their money on any hint of a drilling taking place, today money is tight. Banks would be taking a huge gamble and the risks are too high. A farm out partner would be my best bet and if this does not happen then that is it. Good luck to all.

Kever, you are of course factually correct, however, as pointed out the drill was in the wrong place. As you will know oil can and does migrate over millions of years. My main point is this, this is a risky business, if you can't take the risk, you can't take the reward. Another drilling could, with the benefit of hindsight still be the wrong place, and, so forth. I have continued to add to TRP since I am willing to accept the consequences. Today, I have picked up my last purchase in these shares. JA has a lot more to lose (9.57% of the company). He wants this to happen a lot more than I.

The chances of finding oil are slim at best. You can have the best data, the best board of directors and the best CEO, however, there are no guarantees. Problems include finding the money to do it, hiring the rig (which are in short supply within this vicinity), finding gas which is costly to extract and store, NOT FINDING ANYTHING AT ALL (or in non commercial quantities), the list is endless. If you are not a gambler THEN YOU SHOULD NOT BE HERE AT ALL! However, in investment terms "NO BALLS, NO BABIES!

Provided they find oil. Alternatively they might not drill or they don't find oil. It is that sort of share. If you can't take that sort of risk, then, you shouldn't be here at all. Good luck.
