Just out of curiosity, does anyone know anything about this new shareholder? This name is unfamiliar to me.

Mike1974. Have never met him, therefore I am not a mate! I am not a greedy person, and, Rothchild (no mate of mine either) once stated "Always leave a little something for someone else!" IDS has paid out some good dividends in the past, coupled with a healthy capital gain, therefore I cannot complain.

I am content to settle for £350 pence, many deem this to be too little! However, I am interested to learn the minimum to sell out!

I believe one of the main reasons for not hitting 320 pence is the fact that investors don't believe the deal will go ahead due to government intervention. At this point in time my thoughts are that a higher bid may well follow up, however, perhaps another 10 pence only (330 pence being the original offer price). I shall be more than happy with that!

AceOfClubs, I really do not want to agree with you, however, the facts speak for themselves! I have enormous concerns regarding TastyTrader since their results are unclear! I shall be hanging on for the dividend since I bought these shares at a much lower price. Good luck.

The successful/failure of TT financial results would be a good question to be answered, if need be at the next AGM.

Gwm121, there are many insurance opportunities available. Indeed, L & G is one option, I already have them but may add. Having read Aviva Diversity report it is a well written waffle full of political correctness, effectively "Saying Nothing". I find the expression "Black Lives Matter", as clearly depicted in the report, offensive and insulting. How about Asian Lives, Chinese Lives, in other words "All Lives Matter". I too have only a small holding in Aviva. This political correctness will show at some point in time. Blanc in my opinion will ruin what was once a great company. I have L & G and like what they do. Looking to liquidate all of my Aviva assets in New Year. Will be very happy at any price above £3.50, current price £4.30.

Gym 121 I will transfer the money to a bank and receive interest on Aviva. I do have Rolls Royce, picked up at 89 pence. I am more interested in the long term dividend albeit the Capital Gain is good. I do hold Lloyds and intend keeping them for the long term, again for the long term.

My biggest loss is TRP (Tower Resources). Whilst my holding is small, this is like betting on the Grand National outsider. So far a 50% loss! If it comes in the gains will be very high. The chances of this is small, only if you are prepared to lose the lot, which could quite easily happen.

Glaxo (Emma Walmsley) I have held for sometime, the dividend modest, however, I have enormous faith in the lady. Should she leave Glaxo, I shall be following her move (no, I am not a stalker!). Good leaders are hard to find, I believe she is a very good leader.

It takes a long time to build up a company, a shorter time span to knock it down. I have done very well out of Aviva, however, I am not impressed with Ms Blanc.
