Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Agreed. Holding existing customers while improving service and brand and lowering overheads is going to be key for future. My heart goes out to the 11,000 job losses but hopefully enough opportunities in the market for them. Good luck all.
Looks like they are floating the idea of keeping the surcharge on profits today.
@Brixton Thank you :)
@MikeS02 no worries and understood. I can afford to hold my modest position, just keen to understand how serious all this actually is. We'll survive, I'm sure! Thank you again. GLA :)
@MikeS02 " These two and many other long term investors will also tell you that you have only LOST money when you CASH IN ....." Very true. I've been studying Warren Buffet. I have not heard of Mohamed El-Erian - sorry! - will look him up. Thank you again. Much appreciated.
@DaveBloodaxe The diversity PR initiatives businesses and organisations are forced to undertake do not alter narrow thinking on the ground. I say this as a brown female who backed Sunak's economic plans over Trussonomics. He should have walked that contest.
This is my first sterling crisis(!) Holding NWG with heavy losses. Any thoughts/advice on the pros of leaving now to avoid further losses?
@Fossiebeer Computershare are transferring data over to EVR for them to manage directly, so our communication will be with EVR directly in future. For your own peace of mind call Computershare for an update and email EVR investor relations.
Wrote to them again yesterday after they initially told me they couldn't help with this - let's see.
@Andygolf apologies for in advance my ignorance but my understanding is that if a company doesn't announce a dividend on the declaration date a dividend will not be paid? happy to be wrong about this.
@ct10 as far as I'm aware stocks held in tax wrapper accounts like a SIPP or ISA can't be transferred to a Fund & Share account without incurring penalties but stocks in a Fund & Share account can be transferred to tax wrapper accounts subject to annual allowances. Hope this helps?
@usernames Re EY I've been waiting for an RNS to confirm the re-appointment. If EY is already in place, then great.
Also, thanks to you and others for sharing your experiences about different kinds of share certificates.
Have a good day all!
@shaun170284 - You're right, we are in the same position but without an auditor (no news about EY reappointment) and now without a clearing house
@JonesMcZilla - Yes it could be worse
Have a good evening all
@JonesMcZilla
yes HL will hold and EVR has the register. Disappointing, however.
"Hopefully one of the brokers will tell us the pros and cons of having the certificate, given the company's circumstances".
If anyone can help with this that would be great. Will aim to call the Registrar’s helpline on +44 (0)370 873 5848 if not.
So update from HL (phone call)
1. Re: conversion of electronic shares into physical paper shares for the purpose of receiving share certificates. HL doesn't provide this service
2. BUT they will look at manually transferring shares to EVR via a stock transfer form if the Company doesn't find an alternative to Computershare when sanctions are lifted
3. HL customers can't do much until sanctions are lifted
Yes, they said they don't provide this service but they will look at manually transferring shares to EVR via a stock transfer form if the Company doesn't find an alternative to Computershare when the sanctions are lifted.
Also spoke to HL - they confirmed they got the notification this morning and are looking at what this means for their customers and promised to call back once clarified. I'm sure they'll notify all EVR customers in time.
FT - Buyers challenge UK government’s decision to block Truphone deal
https://www.ft.com/content/fa7b7adb-9160-4292-9ce1-df2aad948ea1
"People close to the deal believe the government’s decision, which was first reported by Sky News, is linked to a contract Truphone has with British telecoms group BT that allows users to access their digital SIM card remotely. This process requires access to BT data".
*Roman Abramovich connection appears to be secondary? I could be wrong.
@wolfofwarks you could be right.
Just heard a former British Army general (?? didn't catch the name) talking to Lisa Aziz (LBC Radio) and it looks like Russia will end up taking 20% of Ukraine, NATO will not oppose and Ukraine will have to live with this.
We may have an option to trade EVR on a different exchange in the future - as long as it's not the MOEX - as others have pointed out.
