Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
Monet2 , I suppose I should explain . It's not just the MM's that sell shares , you or I could be happy to sell shares for 30.25 , therefore someone could buy at that price .
Dear oh dear !
Boom
They have to declare until they fall below 3% .
Buy order just placed for 200K @ 129.5 . I suggest getting in before it blows .
I'm not one for posting on chat boards , I read them because I might glean some information that I may have missed in my own research . I find most posters have their own agenda and most serious investors don't make investment decisions on anything they read on them . I will say I value scotts contributions more than most and comparing anyone to Putin is taking things too far in my opinion .An apology wouldn't go amiss .
It was just the company keeping the market informed of their operations as they should . Most investors already knew what was happening and it was already priced in . Why anyone was expecting it to move the price I don't know .
Considering someone is dumping 10,000 shares at minute intervals at the moment it's holding up well . Someone must be happy to pick them up at this level .
Interesting , I wonder which institutional investor that could be . Certainly a vote of confidence that the SP won't go lower than 70p . Perhaps a major took the opportunity to pick up some cheap shares , they would have known Otto were holding these .
Gone into auction , have not seen that happen during trading hours for a long time .
Sorry Max , I've been playing golf . This is from the RNS :-
Each of the Sellers is subject to lock-up arrangements which were agreed at the time of Darktrace's initial public offering ("IPO") and described in Darktrace's IPO prospectus. The Joint Global Co-ordinators have now agreed to waive the Sellers' lock-up arrangements with respect to the Placing Shares being sold by the Sellers in the Placing. The Sellers' lock-up arrangements as described in Darktrace's IPO prospectus will otherwise remain in place in accordance with their respective terms, subject to exceptions.
I bought in this morning and have now sold so I won't be posting more . GLA
Max , read the RNS
The way I see it the locked up shares are still locked up . They have just changed hands . They weren't sold on the open market as such . There's a way round everything !
Obviously back from lunch .
They need to do more than VR , it seems most of the staff spend their time posting on here !
At ONT's current share price IP's holding is worth more than GB500m .
I find nervousness in investing to be a good thing . There is no such thing as a safe share , the secret is to win more than you lose . I sold the ones I paid 14p for at 57p , with hindsight I could have got 67p today but I was nervous . All you can do is do your research and act on your judgement . I find these boards useful for the research that other people do and post but the majority of posts are just noise .
Goldstinger , Farallon are a business they don't do gambling . They lent money and they want it paid back with the interest due . If they can do this at the price they are getting they're happy . If you were selling clothes would you not open the doors for a couple of years because they might be worth more then?
Nothing except Richard Branson goes up in a straight line .
Philg65 , you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink !
