Can anyone explain what's happening here. Why is Ithaca up so much and we languish? I held both stocks a month ago and was stopped out of ITH. Wish It had been HBR but it's holdings are much more diversified so I figured it was the better candidate to stick with. Shows you how unreliable "commonsense is when it comes to investing.

Hi asimpleinvestor. You are correct,I was unsure how the hedging worked but I did think it was a negative for the present scenario. I still think the expression, "it seemed like a good idea at the time" covers that scenario. I am on the fence regarding whether to hold on for the dividend or not. Just sold my GKP shares

as they've had a good run up and I cannot see the war contributing to their bottom line.

I agree with Londoner7, as I thought when I posted on 3rd March, they really screwed up with their hedging. It's likely that the oil price will remain high for at least some months so ITH will be missing out on a windfall amount of cash. I guess the expression "It seemed like a good idea at the time" covers it all.

I've just been reading up on ITH on the IC mag site and ITH stated that they had a hedging position into 2027. This is what they wrote: average oil swap pricing >$66/bbl and average gas swap pricing of 92p/therm. By this do they mean the company retains any rise above $66 a barrel? Can someone help me out here as I am thinking of adding to my investment?

I have just gone thru' every RNS available on the LSEG and the latest re: the takeover stated that things should be wrapped up be the 1st half of 2026. So I do not expect to hear much from WG. in the meantime. I guess some just want reassurance that things are gong to plan and we can all pocket our 35p a share. I did not realise that Sidara's final offer was 230p. Of course once they carried out due diligence they would have discovered what a leaking ship it was. Tempted to buy a bit more but maybe better to be a cautious just in case it bombs.

What's up? CTL is up over 6% and nobody posts. I thought after waiting so long for a decent rise that would raise a cheer. I've been in CTL for a couple of years and despaired of making a profit but this rise brings that nearer. I'm sure that'is worth a few cheers. Happy investor.

It's really nice to see a post from someone who actually brings relevant information and a possible strategy that may help the share price increase. Those who cannot bring relevant or interesting news, please go and post somewhere else. And I can just imagine the response to this post from them.

Wow, looks as if a lot of people are thinking the SP is going to fall back quickly. Hope not but obviously something is driving the price up. As Chard_Nick said we should get news soon. Glad I got in a while back.

If the share price has been upgraded to 333p why is CSN crashing. Now 266p?

That makes sense. Nice to see someone posting something that is based a little on reality rather than the wishes/hopes of many punters. I admit I took a punt on Bango but when you do that you have to be prepared to lose big. Time will tell who makes money and who will lose by selling at the bottom.
