Like many other people, I have my shares in an isa and was unable to add any more money. I had no choice except to sell some of my holding to have funds to pay for the 115p shares. As the option was no transferable, I think a lot of people with isa's (or no spare cash) did the same. I managed to sell at 143p and used that same money to pay for the 115p shares. I just consider that as an opportunity to average down. So I'm hoping most of the selling was done last week.

Wolf, it's not automatic because some people might not want to take up the all/some of the offer. After you sell the shares to get the funds, you will have to let your broker/platform know how many shares on offer you want to take up. Also make sure the money is cleared in time. My platform takes 2 days to clear funds after I sell.

You should be able to sell some of the shares in your ISA so there is enough money in there to buy the new shares. Just remember to take into account the time it takes the money to clear. I'm with ii and they take two days. I sold some petrofac above 130p and will use that to buy the ones for 115p.
