What many miss (and I myself sometimes totally forget about) is the incredible work CABP are doing every single day to help some of the most disadvantaged people in the world. A great insight below by a senior staff member on LinkedIn posted yesterday.

Six Months In: A Personal Reflection 📝
After 16 years of working with the UN and INGOs, spending majority of it in hotspots like #SouthSudan and #Afghanistan, I made a decision to step out of my comfort zone in development and humanitarian sectors to broaden my horizons. So, I opted to trade my rugged 🥾field boots for a fresh challenge at 📊Crown Agents Bank.
This wasn't just a career shift; it was a deliberate leap into exploring how financial mechanisms can support humanitarian work 🏦-> 🇺🇳
Starting anew at Crown Agents Bank, I've discovered that whether it’s channelling funds or facilitating aid, the underlying mission is universal—helping people. My role, focusing on last-mile payment solutions, has been both humbling and enlightening. It has deepened my insight into the intricate pathways through which funds are delivered—echoing some of the logistical challenges my colleagues and I once tackled in the field.
Crown Agents Bank is recognised as a key partner to the humanitarian and international development sectors, supporting multilateral, government and non-governmental organisations in some of the world’s most challenging environments. With our assistance, these organisations can deliver #FX and #payments to and from hard-to-reach regions including those suffering the consequences of war, disease and natural disaster.
The significance of cash and voucher assistance (CVA) in humanitarian work is extensively documented, with the "World Cash Report" and insights from the Cash Learning Partnership (CALP Network) underscoring its pivotal role in enabling flexible, responsive aid delivery. CVA is mostly recognised for its effectiveness in meeting the diverse needs of beneficiaries rapidly and with respect to their dignity and autonomy.
In my role at Crown Agents Bank I'm actively looking to support the bank's capabilities to offer solutions for these critical last-mile payments. By focusing on financial inclusion through strategic collaboration and partnership with fintechs, Crown Agents Bank helps optimize the impact of humanitarian programs. This approach is not just about operational support; it’s about shaping strategies that integrate financial tools into humanitarian efforts effectively.
As I continue to explore this intersection of finance and humanitarian aid, I'm eager to absorb more perspectives: What innovative financial tools can we employ to bolster global humanitarian efforts? I welcome thoughts and experiences from my network on this challenging but rewarding journey.
Here's to learning, adapting, and making a meaningful impact in every step we take! ✨
