A very quick scan of articles from April 24 shows, Stagwell, Havas, all the big 4 advertising groups, and atleast 1 private equity firm have shown interest in acquiring S4C 🧐. I'm sure the more well informed will know of others.
Only a matter of time I guess until a credible offer lands. Happy to accumulate at bargain basement levels until the inevitable deal arrives.
12-24 months ago if anyone said you could buy S4C for 46p 😂, you would have thought they were totally insane. I remember buying S4 at 220p and selling at 240p, now bought 5x the amount for the same £ 🤯. The longer this goes on, the more I can accumulate 😉
"According to Green Square partner Barry Dudley, any move to merge with S4 Capital would be focused on growing scale and take the resulting company to around 22,000 people, placing it on a similar size to that of Havas, another rumored suitor for Martin Sorrel’s empire. Sorrell has dismissed the offers saying there had been “no credible takeover approaches”.
“All of the big groups will have been circling one way or another,” said Dudley. “S4C would undoubtedly bring new capabilities and expertise, but I don’t think this would be the main driver.”
“One proposal, made last fall, was worth nearly $700 million, some of the people said," said the Wall Street Journal. "At least one private-equity firm also expressed some interest in acquiring S4.”
Worth multiples of today's price whatever happens. Just have to sit tight. LSE is totally broken, hence all the takeovers.
