@fleccy I'm sure the crypto expert and the testing team of experts have taken all these variables into consideration. In the end the miners themselves would challenge qbt on this.. it would be funny if they haven't and there is a surprise in the next PRN..

@plutuq it isn't just wording its based off the testing that Is being done..so alot of evidence and test results behind that claim.

in terms for quantum computer algo they have proven this on paper and it works.. now we have an expert in to verify that it does actually work or maybe tweak it slightly so it can be used on a quantum computer.

also bitcoin has been very volatile the past 2 years.. the hash rate or network difficulty has also been just going up. For fg/ qbt to confirm they are happy with test results shows they are getting consistent results despite the volatility and network difficulty of bitcoin.. so 30% or more efficiency gains is still looking good for any potential miner that signs up.

I think in one interview fg did say they would only need around £6m or £7m.. to start mining themselves. So if they do receive £11m more or less it looks to be enough but i guess the next question would be how many can they mine with that investment + efficiency gains they have currently made. Anyways I think it does show Fg and qbt have been crunching some numbers and are on top of it.

I think from my perspective FG would have given them some assurance that either the court money or progress within the business will get them there money back. As lender I would want all sides to be covered.. but others have mentioned this is a personal transaction so difficult to answer..but I'm sure discussions would have been held regarding court money and business progress..

I take it as good news because either way for the lender to roll over for another 3 months shows they are confident in Fg/ Qbt.

I can see one of the investors is Blackrock for chain reaction-- if Blackrock are investing in them then they must be a serious player within the industry. Looks like FG is right there are others out there entering this space and most likely very interested in what qbt will offer.

bitcoin just jumped up again.. Michael saylor bought some recently.

it is what it is.. Deja vu. Looks like the drop in bitcoin is causing the sells and maybe the frustration that we may not get an update at end of March. Been here before with these drops and lth we eventually bounce back.

more I reflect on this interview something tells me they went past the 30 % efficiency hence more testing. Some may argue well it could have dropped lower..but as per previous interviews FG stated the 30% has been consistent.

This price drop is a little disappointing.. given the price of bitcoin now vs 6 months ago and the progress we have made in the past 2 years.. but i think others have pointed out its just being traded to death on any news. Anyways been here before and still think the interview wasn't bad and had alot of detail on progress and expectations. For me it's still a strong buy if funds permit and a hold. The cashflow situation is worrying.. but I'm guessing they have some funding around the corner i.e court money, deal with potential partner, or options being exercised soon...

good interview, everything looks on track. As FG said we are on the radar of many of these large miners .. no mention of % of efficiency gains but as he said they are very happy with the test results so 30% or more efficiency gains still stands. I guess many investors expected the test results, hence the sell off.. as fg says they want to be 110% sure and so far they are very pleased with results.

am I reading the charts right... Jan 18th we were 2.4p and bitcoin was 21k.. fast forward 3 months bitcoin is 24k and we're only 1.6p......hmm in any case we're undervalued.

after watching interview have to agree with jambone next news is either we are mining ourselves or third party agreement this is what Fg is saying. Implying we are at the end stages..This response was to the question what else is qbt working on for first half of the year- so Jan- Jun 2023. it's March now..so almost 50% through the first half of the year.

regardless of no news or news.. the drops we saw were due to bitcoin and wider market / negative news around thjs over the last couple of days.. so nothing to do with qbt and thier progress just bitcoin taking a dive and fear around this.

Yep and will prob just add there's no one else better that can do this job. Rather have Fg a professor with 30 + yrs in computer science then a peter wall..

yeh I'd be frustrated aswell if comparing this to arb who were doing monthly updates. But I think he's done well to steer the ship, court cases and gathering top experts in pursuit of becoming the fastest miner. Personally don't think he will go anywhere until 5p and 10p targets and beyond.

would probably just add were just over 12 months away from next bitcoin halving..this will also help. In my personal opinion I think they should start mining something before then..stack the coins now and when the bitcoin price & alt coins prices rise we should benefit exponentially more.
