regarding your point on security / patent issue.

Wasn't the cryptography expert hired by qbt an expert in security also? I'm sure he was head or director of security.

Im sure he is highly qualified and knowledgable in protecting qbts software with or without a patent.

It is high risk but we have made alot of progress over the last 2 years. Considering some of us may have invested when this was 3-4 p with nothing but a vision.

Next update should be on the success of porting.

Gibson12 interesting what you said.. fg did mention at the end of the latest interview they want method b (and Method a) but more so method b on a miner with our partners.. so this would definitely reduce timeliness.. so months as opposed to years is possible and would also prove it works in real world mining.

Below just my opinion happy for others to add or disagree or have a different opinion..

1. plug and play I think is still relevant for the method B..the Blackbox terminology used I'm not sure on this , my impression is it's a software upgrade and it's to do with the firmware of the chips. If they can port to one bitmain miner don't see an issue with it porting to all provided same model range?

Intel chips is close to 10% more or less market share and qbt seem confident they can port to all..

2. I'm not sure on the Blackbox it's a change to the firmware - my understanding is it's a software upgrade as opposed to physically altering or putting a 'black box ' on the chip for method b and then this will alow them to connect to qbt server.

3. we don't know. But my best guess is they have estimated a time for this and the sooner the better given the upcoming halving event.

4. Call it lab testing or theoretical Fg mentioned statistical methods used to form an opinion so i trust they have used a sceintific method or approach that gives them confidence the test results will be replicated in a real world live environment.. so they are very confident this will be 2.6x backed by 2 years of data and testing..

5. Bitmain it looks like don't offer any support.. why would they ? they are dominant player in the market and wouldn't want anyone messing with the chip software that gives them a disadvantage. If anything this is positive for qbt with the other strategy of partnering with a chip maker to install there method b on, gives minerrs options to consider qbt products vs bitmain.

6. patent is good to have but as others have said it's still not 100% iron clad protection.. where you are dealing with Asian manufacturers so I don't know.. from an investor point of view as long as it doesn't block qbt from there goal I would be happy. Competition is inevitable.

-according to rns the response from miners is 'encouraging' so it looks like they are happy with a black box software which allows qbt to guide the search with ai algorithms.

-so when I researched this I got varied answers.. but given bitcoin halving is around the corner..they would be aiming at best for a couple of months..there is no definitive answer that I could find, probably.somwone with an IT background would have a better idea..

- 2.6x in real world its achievable given they have tested this for 2 years. Fg and team wanted to be 100% sure before they approached the miners, and since testing was.complete the 2.6x has been consistent in all.rns, marketing , company communications.

-bitmain depends on agreement with the miners.. unless there is something in the agreement that doesn't allow this ? we don't know really. If I wanted to upgrade the software on my PC to another operating system is there anything holding me back?

- fg did confirm they are confident with the current protection they have in the interview.

just over 3 months to Christmas.. as someone else pointed out we may already have a deal in principal subject to qbt successfully porting on bitmain miners etc etc..

Nothing In the Rns says that they will not do deals with any miners using intel mining rigs?

Well how long does porting take ?

The rns is saying this is still on going and interview comments.

But porting looks to be going well at the moment and they are addressing any issues that come up.

So far it was the reverse engineering / modification of Method B and security issue which they have solved.

There's different versions of coke.. they still all taste different from the original. Does anyone know there secret recipe? businesses have tried to reverse engineer but still the original is better..

Similarly here qbt have the knowledge.. and by the looks of it will be first to market with a product no one else has..

Your assuming it is 25/75 but it isn't.

As jambone pointed out the miners qbt are speaking to the majority or all of their rigs is bitmain or other Chinese produced miners. I wouldn't know the exact number in % terms but say for argument sake it's 99% Chinese and 1 % intel.

So it doesn't make sense commercially for them to have Method B on intel miners ? I mean how much more bitcoin can they mine if it makes up such a small part of their mining fleet, also other factors are we speaking to miners who have the intel rigs still?

And with intel now officially not making any more of there mining rigs going forward it doesn't make any commercial sense. Hence the push towards the Chinese made mining rigs.

Qbt do have a director who does speaks Chinese or someone on their executive team.
