This is exactly what I had banked on when I bought on Friday. It was oversold and at the end of the day there were all those large trades which told me this was going to happen today. I think this was manipulated by the scaremongers and now some of the in-crowd will make some good money here...

Daceon - Beware of some of the posters on this board as they are positively biased to be polite. I am a VLTH in this share and have previously not been best pleased with the performance, but am pleased to say IMO you are in at the right time, as I wish I could have only entered now myself !

Dont really think so, as soon as airlines begin putting hours back on their engines the cash flows into RR. They have a wierd business model where nothing much happens when you SELL an engine, but as soon as that engine starts running recurring revenue is flowing in RR's direction. RR have been demonised by the market for this but in the case of COVID recovery it may work in their favour.

Back in 2014 ish I gave part of my portfolio to a discretionary fund manager and he did (you guessed it) a rubbish job. He bought several tranches of RR shares averaging at about 1010p. After I sacked him I managed to sell at just below break even and move on but it took a couple of years.. I just bought some at 268p cus I think they are probably oversold and a good swing trade -- but RR -- not a good investment.

Patesy - i think ramping or de-ramping does make a differnce on some of the real dog-poo AIM shares with mcap £10-20M the bigger the share the less effect I would summise...

I dont like Hybrids on the grounds that they are neither fish nor fowl. They have an awful lot of complex gubbins having an ICE as well as motor/batteries so expensive to manufacture. A decent diesel runs rings around them in efficiency on long high speed drives. I am in the all-electric or nothing camp. Hybrids are only bought at the moment to get around the congestion charge mostly, or for people who dont stray much from an urban sub-urban area....

I agree with what you say procel, but sadly 95% of the chat on these boards is agenda driven, ie force up or down as we dont live in a perfect world sadly ! Some boards are very bad - have a look at UKOG its practically sunni versus shia muslim levels of conflict !

Actually according to the data, there are now few active short positions here and then they are small %age wise...

My view is that whilst CPI is a less than stellar company it is certainly worth far far more than the current price. Ok when the share price was £3+ it was clearly toppy...But Capita has very many contracts that are very sticky and has less competition than it had a couple of years ago. In fact many of their potential competitors have shied away from trying to compete with them.
I wouldnt want to work for Capita but I am still confident in the price shouting at £1 soon as there are some aspects of the Covid crisis that will help them...

Ok CC -- I looked back at the posts before 21st Jan when the drill ship was announced as an acquisition and I dis see the posts on 21st Sep 2019 showing the boat as belonging to Kuat, HOWEVER this in my mind is not the same as predicting that it would be acquired by CASP. The bloke over the road from me has a nice car but it doesnt mean I'm going to buy it, if I have missed something - fair - do's but otherwise I dont see this as a 'prediction'.......

All in all if you want to sink a couple of grand and never see a fraction of it again then yes. It costs a lot of money to drill anything and this company is on its ass, so what maniac financier is going to give such a pup cash ? ANswer - placing and PI's...

I would echo this sentiment entirely - I got out around 1p at a slight loss and when I read the carp from the disciples on this board I am so glad ! This is a cash burn truth-lean organisation with the usual constant fund raising. Connected to Lenigas and Kiran Morzaria it reads like an absolute nightmare. They will take your cash and give you nothing. The MMs will pump it and skilled traders will make a few bob, but everyone else will be scalped...
