And to imagine how much the UK economy alone is losing every month (billions), to fund the acquisition of millions of LFT tests kits is peanuts in comparison. To achieve anything above 80% sensitivity will be absolutely a great achievement for avct and give us the extra revenue we need to help our other platforms to speed up trials. Not to mention we become a clear target for acquisition.

Avacta Group plc (AIM: AVCT), the developer of Affimer® biotherapeutics and reagents is pleased to announce that the first Affimer-based rapid test strips to detect SARS-COV-2 spike protein have been developed and evaluated by Avacta’s partners at Cytiva (formerly GE Healthcare Life Sciences) and show positive initial performance data..."

"These data show that the test strips detect the spike protein in model samples at concentrations within the clinical range found in saliva of patients with COVID-19. Work continues now to refine the test strip design, optimise its performance and get the best detection limit possible in order to generate the highest sensitivity in the final rapid test product.

Following the optimisation of the lateral flow test by Cytiva the design will then be transferred to manufacturing partners in the UK that are currently being put in place by Avacta. The Company is working with these manufacturers to compress the normal manufacturing, clinical validation and regulatory timelines in order to bring a product to market as quickly as possible.

I have stopped posting here for a while as I believe I am well informed by the official statements by Avacta and to be honest there is little extra information about the technology itself was able to find here, apart from other related information published by some posters. I thank you for it in advance.

I remain confident on our success when it duly arrives, specially on the oncology part of the business.

I will continue visiting the BB now and then to catch with the board.

GMCC, I suppose some folks think avct is developing some kind of vanilla taste chewing gum here and not a LFT that takes a while as mentioned by AS, which anyway would normally takes a year to develop. AS did mention in a past presentation that the LFT is being developed in record time so patience is a must. Covid19 is not going anywhere as I am sure everyone is aware.

I remain confident on our test and hopeful our share price will reflect the test success shortly. By August I assume we should see some good news.

I just look at the transport industry to see what a havoc not having a quick and cheap test can cause. So many jobs on the line not to mention the loss in revenue to the industry and the secondary effects to the tourism sector.

As Professor Alastair said in the post presentation interview, it takes sometimes overvaluation year to develop the kits, but the parties involved are speeding up the process to deliver it by the end of June. And as far as I gather by the news I read every day, this damn virus is going nowhere. And as far as we are concerned we ought to get this test kit right.

We are almost there, and as RK in his last post highlighted it (he's a great guy) , I must say, our pipelines are absolutely, tremendously, fantastic!

Nah, still around. It just got so much crap being said here by derampers that I just gave it sometime off. Also, getting ready to cross the border to France tonight...have a out 9 hours on the wheel till get to Burgundy and planning the holiday great escape.

As I mentioned earlier, I see no reason for the drop in the price, but better news than those we had previously. 12,000 barrels of oil per day. That's positive.

New BoD, to replace a long standing director who saw the share value go down along the way. Nice guy, but I care for the value of the share price.

New BoD have backing of major shareholders and as soon as the market sees that, and I believe it is starting already, we move up.

This week will be very positive for the share value.
