Very interesting Documents on the aspects of Analytical Performance of PCR, LFA Antigen and Antibody tests and expected levels of sensitivity and specificity by the EU. We want that market, don't we?

IF the FDA is giving EUA for antigen tests that have sensitivity below 90% (according to SONA's BB members they are getting it) and it seems they are if we take the NBA's test kits, any test with higher clinical sensitivity should draw much attention in the world consumer markets.

They are approving these lower than FDA recommendation of 95% because they haven't managed anything better for pregnancy-type tests, hence Emergency Use Approval.

Jaylarc. the FDA has given emergency approval for the MBA saliva test with sensitivity around 80%! You go and figure.

Sir John Bell in his interview with the RSM on the 20th August (he is taking part of the evaluation of saliva tests at the moment) mentioned two tests that were "pretty interesting" and "say £5 a pop" and "with high sensitivity...say 90% sensitivity..and high specificity which is in the high 90s".

Now, we are all in high hopes one of the test is ours, and based on what we know about affimers and the work carried out by Cytiva and what happy AS said regarding the analytical results, I think we will beat SONA's.

All we can do now is wait for the RNS.

CS, I can see your efforts to give it some timeline, which is fine, but in my view the way things are they may not wait for this fancy moonshot plan, as the economy needs to be open now, not in 2021. We are currently in state of war against global recession and I give you an example: The airlines.

They need a rapid test yesterday to get planes in the air, so I think that strategic sectors of our economy, even schools and universities shall be catered before moonshot is even fired! They musts have an idea already on how our tests and others are fairing and contracts may be already be on the printing system so urgent this all is for the UK government. There is alot of pressure from all sides.

So, forgive me for the "nuts" thing, but we need this test now, and not post christmas...there will be no christmas if this mess continue.

Do you think that with BBI being able to produce millions of tests that have been clinically validated and CE approved jointly with what is going on at the moment that Alastair Smith will wait until 2021 for the UK government to get their act together? It is nuts!

The UK is not the only country waiting to open the doors to the world and AVACTA will make sure we get the orders in because our test offers that. Once the test is ready there will be high demand and the rest will be history.

AS was clear in his RNS' that avacta is working with LSTD, the government and BBI to pack everything together to expedite the product to the public and that tells me we ain't waiting for anyone.

I share with you the frustration of these past few days, but I know we are at the gates on some potential transformational news that may make last week's gain pale in comparison. As PL75 highlighted, some many posts ago, the orders for our tests, just in the UK alone, could well be over a £1bl mark. Can you put a price on AVCT? Of course, it is all conjectures as none of us have a crystal ball. But what we have is a great CEO who has been updating us when they have clear news to give of any progress. He is not a tweeter ****. We got enough cash in the bank to fund our medium term needs. We have fingers in so many pies with respectable partners. We have life saving projects regarding cancer and I hope we are not bought by big pharmas with hidden interests who may silence the fight against cancer so they make more money (yes, I do believe they do that).

So, what should we do now? I think it all depends on the level of research each one of us has duly conducted. I read somewhere on a BB that, if you can explain to your wife that the red she sees in the portfolio is actually blue, you are doing well with your research!

cristalball , why a mug? My first buy here was in april at 50.5p and I don't see anyone holding something they believe has a massive potential due to proper research (do you even know what an affimer is?) should be called a mug.

We are not just a covid stock, and are fully funded until 2023 to get some of our oncology projects on phase I on our own. I will not even bother your with what we expect from our LFA and BAMS tests, nevermind the Korean JV treatment.

What a morning...After selling my SNG, :0/, this morning at 200p with a loss, got in EZJ, a little gain at 610p, sold at 626p and bought avct at 166p (never thought I would see that again). Now happy to hold as nothing has changed here (apart from the obvious drop).

The drop yesterday, was simply a contagion effect on a pharmas (from here to the USA) as a kneejerk reaction to Trump's shift to plasma therapy. This is clearly reflected in the likes of "Nil Desperandum" poster, earlier, who felt this was the end to good therapy in exchange for the likes of plasma/hydroxychloroquine, and simply sell and hide under their beds with their piggy safes.

Those with cool heads will be certainly p*****d off with the drop, but hey, I saw it all the way to 156p when I bought at 199.99 and 230, so, if you trust the science and understand what the potential is here you can make better decisions.

CW25, they don't need to walk down a share to do a placing in my view. Venrock didn't seem fazed to buy in above 200p, and they did add alot to their holdings.

Trump is clearly forcing the plasma therapy on the FDA, the same way he did with hydroxychloroquine and will be shot down. In my view today's drop is related to this push, but should not last long.
