The divi is 2.31p interim the balance at the y/e

The reintroduction of a small dividend is really important for the sp. Many cannot invest unless there is a divi. Watch what happens to BT who have reintroduced their divi today, only small but it will oven itself up to wider investment.

Maybe they do, be interesting to see who the 2 are - one almost certainly the Governor, so he can say it was not my fault. The major mortgage brokers have already acted. Cannot see it rising now until the new year.

Bottle it

BOE Bottle it. The 3.1% last month was fudged, how will they fudge it to keep it below 5% next month. Gas, electric and fuel get it there, without considering food.

As more suppliers go to the wall, it needs to be addressed why the regulator issues licences to fInancial weak firms. The Regulator states it “acts in the best interests of consumers “ . Clearly they do not, they are not fit for purpose, many of the firms that have collapsed had only a few thousand customers. Head should roll, these guys earn big bucks to create chaos.

The only current positive is the company buying it own shares at a bargain price - maintain the divi and this weakness will reverse, further falls and it becomes vunerable to an opportunist bid.

I note from the half year report the following:
Revenue of £0.15 million (HY 2020: £nil) from initial recognition of Extreme E commercial revenue following completion of first race; under IFRS, additional Extreme E revenue to be recognised on completion of remaining races.

My question is "have all the races been completed" because 150k must represent a fraction of the cost to AFC for providing the power for these events - I conclude that this does not represent a commercial contract and merely marketing/advetising their product. How many of the 50 or so serious enquires about AFC products are just after freebies and how many are really prepared to spend real money.

The half year update was issued 7 weeks after the half year end - the outlook for the second half and the rest of this calendar year was extremely bullish with 5 specific share price enhancing events listed (see below). There remains about 7 weeks for the Company's expectations to be met - or will we be fobbed off with more expectations.

Outlook

· AFC Energy expects to announce multiple new system orders in the second half of this calendar year.
· Following COVID related delay, AFC Energy fuel cell system now on track for dispatch to ACCIONA in Q4 2021.
· Multiple new product releases expected for second half of this calendar year.
· Juelich fuel cell system for German micro grid on schedule for completion in Q4 2021.
· Preparation for delivery of full prototype high power dense AEM fuel cell by calendar year end.

There were some new commitments on emissions announced by countries that have been seen as laggards on climate. And a host of developed countries made fresh climate finance pledges. But there were no game changing announcements.
The event comes hot on the heels of a G20 meeting in Rome, where world leaders took some steps to put the breaks on new coal fired power generation, but also did not go as far as many had hoped.

As of last night AFC was one of the best performing shares according to the FT
At the sp of 63.99p its change over the year was +270.31% - AB expects big developments in the final weeks of this calendar year, about 7 weeks to go. In the same 7 week period of 2020 the AFC sp motored amazingly, some say it spiked.
If the price remains at this level by 31 December there will be a completely different picture
At the sp of 63.99p its change over the year will be minus 24.70% - Not great eh!!
Great expectations are being placed on this COP26 event the previous 25 such events have had very little impact, the speeches I have heard are all full of good intentions, but in reality any impact will be small.

To todays share price rise and that it not just down to AB attending COP26. As for the year end update, news regarding the EXPECTED calendar year events is of far more importance to shareholders' and the share price. (39 business days to go)

The whole water licence business was taking too long, Creating GROC was probably done knowing the mining venture was going down the tube - difficult to see a way back for this, probably on the verge of bankruptcy.

Very interesting, my BG contract ends in March 22. My brother in law was with a provider that went bust - he has been moved to Octopus and set a monthly price of £120 and the terms are not fixed - your deal sounds ok.

Interesting number of RNS's issued, however it would be good to get just a couple that put some revenue on the bottom line and actually enhance shareholder value:

Manufacturing Contract with BK Gulf - what has actually been manufactured
Head of Communications Appointment - hasn't he just walked out
Investment in new facility - Now full of employees and not one sale has left the premises, maybe in the EXPECTED category.

LGEN sp doing well into the 290"s however I find the piece below interesting in view of the prospects for interest rates:

To say CNA is a dog of a share is a bit of an understatement, when I look at my portfolio it makes my blood boil, but at my age one has to be careful, so I don’t look that often. My son always wanted a dog as a kid, he never got one, I can’t stand them, however he will just have to make do with inheriting one - Haha

The UK Treasury has increased its expectations for tax receipts from the North Sea oil and gas sector ahead of the COP26 climate conference. I take this as being a beneficial for the JOG project
