The half year report expectations have until the calendar year end = 31 December 2021.
The markets in general frown on uncertainty and dithering AFC has created this in abundance - look at the share price.

At the close of play on the day AFC announced the £4m deal with ABB the shares closed at 59.90p and now following the maritime RNS this week it has fallen to 48.50p the market is not interested in what's coming in a few years, we are supposed to be commercial.

Surely that RNS contains the same info that ALBA reported when it was sole owner. Their 54% holding is now worth over 25% less than when GROC floated. Holders are being led down another garden path and still no gold has been revealed. All credibility gone here.

This has all been heard before when totally ALBA owned and judging by the market response it agrees.

An ABB appointment, maybe they are not convinced by AB.

Your understanding is correct, however you can apply also for further shares at 8p. If not all shares are taken up you will be allocated more. I expect this will be very oversubscribed and once completed the share price will strengthen (IMO).

Following on from the recent £4m order from ABB due for 2023 comes todays great RNS for the maritime industry, with work in relation to it having started in June 2021. There have been a few hints today that the year end update may well not land until early 2022, indicating that further news relating to the half year expectations of management may still land in this calendar year. At the half year end the company reported cash of circa £60m, it has increased headcount significantly and committed to these major works. ITM recent raised £250m at a time it had £115m in the bank. Will AFC need significantly more funds to meets its contractual obligations going forward??.

Delayed until early 2022 indicates more news may be coming, great RNS today, but a rather muted response from the market.

North Sea-focused E&P company Ithaca Energy said it made $249m (£187m) in pre-tax profits during the quarter, with higher commodity prices offsetting production shutdowns.

This news although not involving VLS directly is overall positive for the sector and VLS in general. The additional funding will only accelerate VLS projects going forward. Exciting time ahead.

An excellent summary of Bond's position - from his half year update listed below are the sp enhancing points he expects to deliver. In all reality there remains 15 business days (post 17th December most will have started their Christmas holidays) to deliver. The full year update has still not arrived, the data expected here is "historical" (last year 3rd November) rather worrying that it remains outstanding.
Outlook
· AFC Energy expects to announce multiple new system orders in the second half of this calendar year.
· Following COVID related delay, AFC Energy fuel cell system now on track for dispatch to ACCIONA in Q4 2021.
· Multiple new product releases expected for second half of this calendar year.
· Juelich fuel cell system for German micro grid on schedule for completion in Q4 2021.
· Preparation for delivery of full prototype high power dense AEM fuel cell by calendar year end.

Having bottled increasing rates at their November meeting, all the reports I am reading indicate to me that the BOE are now "dithering" over the December decision. Oil and Energy prices fell sharply in yesterdays market rout, Biden will no doubt claim a victory for his decision to release supply from their strategic reserves, that may impact on OPEC+ who are likely to backtrack on their proposed supply increases.

I have been waiting for 300p for a while and I am rather impatient so I took 296.6p on 23rd. The plan being to buy back, done this a few times since September making a few pennies each time. Never expected a 200 point drop, got them all back today at 287p making more than the half year divi. About 4p cheaper now (said I was impatient) but will hang on for 300p this time.
The market reaction to this new variant is well over done (IMO) and the coming of higher interest rates should support the next upswing.

Recovered well from 190p earlier, but beware with the US futures over 800 point lower there could be further falls once the UM market opens.

ITM recently did a huge raise when they had over £100m in the bank, so such an event cannot be ruled out here. In fact ABB may demand it, that's the downside to partnerships and this is AIM.
