True Mac. I was over 2000% at 42p myself, but have been buying all the way down to this level and therefore averaging up so I'm afraid to report it's only about 500% now. I can live with that!

I'd rather we didn't get an after hours RNS today. I'd much rather they drop it at 4pm and let all hell break loose for the final half hour of trading, maybe lock out a few shorters and traders at the same time too. Rums and a good jubbing all round!

That's a very interesting point, actually. Why bother getting this news about WK out in such short, sharp, fashion, in the middle of the day? The RNS actually said very little. Could they actually be clearing the decks for a bigger announcement that has nothing to do with WK?

Options plural suggests we are, in fact, still in a bidding war.

I lost a bit of money on SXX too but fortunately made it all back and then some here. I just don't see how there is anything remotely similar about the two companies: SXX had a massively over-optimistic infrastructure plan that required enormous amount of CAPEX that was always vulnerable to the kind of collapse that happened. As far as I can see here, the board have done everything they can to mitigate risk, whether that be single asset, having money in the bank, or dealings with the Russian state. If anything, the reason this is taking so long could well be because they've so effectively resisted the big boys trying to knock them down on price.

Agreed: if people didn't think/hope/expect it were close, they would be jumping ship, which they're not, and if the BOD were worried about people jumping ship, they would be sending out the padding RNS's to encourage people to stay, which they're not, because they don't care about moaning PIs.

They're doing the biggest deal of their lifetimes - literally 25 years of work coming to fruition - and all that matters is closing the deal. If PIs want to moan, they don't care, because they know what's coming. If PIs want to jump ship because they've had enough, they also don't care, because it has no bearing on the divi to be paid and it just means those PIs are throwing their shares overboard and straight into sticky institutional hands.

It's fine for people to want different kinds of information. But all the howling in the world won't change a thing: there isn't a single company on earth that would be issuing details of a deal of this magnitude until it is actually complete.

If you have a big paper loss on EUA, by definition you haven't been in that long, ergo you don't have much patience if you're moaning at this point in time.

Basically, EUA is in the process of drawing massive overlapping 5km perimeter circles around the two main Monchetundra deposits which then overlaps with Nyud, giving them everything to the east. We all know this, of course, but when you see it visually it's so simple and striking. You only have to look at the diagram to wonder whether this is what we are waiting for: i.e. for everything to be signed off so that the buyer basically gets the entire district. The board have now also had plenty of time to get a JORC competent person's report ready for NYUD, as well as any exploration and resource upgrades for Monchetundra done too (both of which have, I reckon, been in progress for a lot longer than since this spring). May well take a few more weeks months, but it could be days away. If the buyer really is taking both assets the special divi is going to be absolutely stonking: life changing amounts of money.

I've waited for getting on for two years now. Happy to wait for another decade to realise full value of this share, which is only going to accrue fully to those who are prepared to wait that long. The incoming special dividend is just the first of many.

You can’t unfind a mine people! The whole point of the SP bleed over the past few months is for PIs to jump ship and let Instis load up. That accumulation period is now over. The rocket is on the launch pad. We’re just waiting for it to go off.

I don't think we should worry too much about short-term non-movements. I like GMF78's theory that, the reason this is taking so long, and the reason there has been such tight radio silence, is that we are still in the midst of a bidding war, with some of those at the table in the FSP having another bite (and another, and another) at the cherry. Let's hope so, anyway!
