Today’s chart is looking weirdly how it did a few months ago during the FSP when we were held in very tight ranges. Seems to be solidly between 23.8 and 24.2. Very odd. MMs trying to bore us into submission while filling orders in the background?

@Leon - Possibly not, but who knows? There's been an awful lot of drilling going on so we're definitely going to get some big news on resources in due course IMO.

Yes, if we're selling MT+flanks *and* Nyud as well.

I still can't lose the nagging idea that it wouldn't have taken anywhere near this long for just a quid: that's only about £3.5bn or so. If we're selling MT+flanks (JORCed and upgraded) along with a JORCed Nyud - which, given this week's raise, must have more resources in the ground than anticipated - we could be talking £100bn+ of PGMs (double or treble that at 2030 prices) plus all the other battery metals. I'll be astounded if it's lower than £2/share.

Ooops, issue date. Misread it in my haste - ha ha. I bet they get exercised pretty swiftly nonetheless.

That's this Thursday. Now, why would the investors seek to exercise those warrants so quickly?

The RNS's aren't written for PIs. They're written for IIs and to put pressure on those involved in the potential transactions. The BOD - quite rightly - couldn't give two hoots about whether or not PIs have the ability or diligence to spend time decoding them. They don't care what PIs want. If they want to jump overboard and gift their shares to those that can and do spend time decoding them, that's all the better for the BOD: more shares in sticky institutional hands who know what they're doing. All PIs can do is swim in the slipstream of the bigger fish and trust that the BOD's ultimate interests align with ours.

Massive kipper plus the mad cat lady on Twitter is bleating about how she's sold 400,000 shares this morning (presumably many of which have made their way into the hands of whomever has £195K to drop into the market today). If you ever needed more evidence to patiently hold and buy the dips, this is surely it...

I thought so too, but presumably it could comprise multiple investors, some of whom might have already traded a few?

One other thing worth noting about today's RNS: we gave them the authority to issue up to 500m shares at the last AGM. There was an awful lot of panic around that (previously it was 250m). But they've only issued a fraction of that authority. That implies at least two things: they mean what they say about wanting to minimise dilution; there may still be a plan for the other 400m or so, which is the establishment of EUA 2.0 to pursue whatever is left from the Rosgeo JV. However, I can't help but think that what we're seeing now could well be about potentially selling the whole kaboodle in one massive transaction.

@Ibiza - That bit stuck out to me too, like a massive sore thumb. It was already fairly evident, but if it is being (a) confirmed as (b) even more evident, then we're talking WA announcing to the western world that, as far as they're concerned, there is more than 106m oz available. Imagine the rocket that will put under the share price.

Just imagine what's going to happen when whoever is scooping up these shares - both the placings and buying on the open market now, which they're clearly going to keep doing since they wanted even more - has to issue their first TR-1 and reveals themselves to the world. By my reckoning, they only need to get to about 87m shares, and Mr 100K has been with us for some time now. Of course, could be many firms involved and keeping themselves under the limit, but might not be...

I'd much rather have 0.08% of $12bn than I would 0.09% of $8bn. Which is precisely what this company is doing for us. Of course, I've just guessed at figures at ratios there, but the principle is the same. We're all gonna get a slightly smaller slice of an even-bigger pie. Come on!

Because speculating about what might be going on is part of the fun - and point - of being on a board like this. Everyone sharing little nuggets of information that may or may not give us clues as to what's going on behind the scenes. TBH I don't get why people come onto share messageboards to say they don't get why people speculate on share messageboards, since that's evidently their entire raison d'être.

Rumour on Twitter that the latest Norilsk meeting "to discuss the company's transaction" which they have every few weeks and which we get very excited about now contains the word .... "acquisition".

Oh, and we have 1.6m tonnes of nickel worth tens of billions on their own in addition to our PGMs. Only a matter of time until the share price rockets IMO.

These RNS are now primarily written for institutional investors. Which is why the efforts of the green coffins are so laughable. They’re implicitly saying to PIs: “we really can’t do any more than we are, so if you choose to believe the muppets or worry about price volatility and sell your shares to sticky institutional hands, that’s your issue, but this is coming to a conclusion now”.

@DShox - Agreed. That RNS read to me like a holding statement until the loose ends of something more substantive are tied up. Who knows what's going on amongst those privy to the actual data...

We've cleared the "sell on news" traders now, and the MMs have scooped up a large amount of shares to sell on the way up now. Strongly suspect a sustained rise into close.
