Thought Luansobe was “oven ready” once the licence was granted.

The total silence is very worrying as you can always rely on Bird to “blow his own trumpet”

The continuing silence here from Bird etc shows complete contempt for loyal longterm shareholders -please tell us what is happening at Luansobe following the grant of the licence -or has it got lost in the post?

The actual dividend payout is 11.36 % of EPS -seems a little unnecessary to make it this low as interim last year was above the minimum 15%

Thank you Tharisa -so shareholders will still receive at least 15% of the NPAT as dividend for the year ending 30/09/2024-? -the share buyback is not a substitute for the dividend

Very disappointing that a 25% fall in EPS has lead to a 50% dividend cut breaking the company’s 15%minimum dividend payout policy.

The share buy back appears to be paid for by amending the dividend policy

Now expecting an interim dividend of 2cents (being 16% of 12.5 cents eps lower guidance)

Interesting to see comments on Karo ,energy storage project and any move to reducing buy in materials

Think most long suffering shareholders here would be over the moon with 25% of NPV equating to a shareprice in excess of £2 -market thinks there nothing of substance happening judging by the shareprice -

Thanks for illustrating my point Analytical -we would be much happier if Mr Bird was working on a deal to bring returns on GLR assets instead of wasting time tweeting the obvious

How about less tweeting and a spec of tangible progress in extracting returns for shareholders.The commodities market is booming and no favorable share movement

No news -what a surprise -if Bird can’t deliver get someone in who can -this is Groundhog Day on steroids

Yes Sotolo-things appear to be going in the right direction barring no shocks in the SA election -for example the EFF having a say in a minority ANC government -although likely indications that others will be involved and not the EFF.

Results due on Thursday -probably get RNS tomorrow if variance of more than 20% from results to 31/3/2023 -requirement of SA stock exchange listing rules

Does not appear on the Birdman’s agenda to create shareholder value hence the shareprice stuck circa 1p -every a small rise is wiped out due to lack of tangible news -how many months does it take to pick up a licence from the relevant Government office and have the courtesy to update shareholders -sure it would only cost a few pounds to hire a courier to pick up the licence.

Great to see copper price rises but only relevant here if copper is actually produced or deal done.Time Bird pulled something out of the bag and actually delivered some material shareholder returns -actions speaks larger than words

Glencore have a lot to answer for -they are supposed to create sustained value and income streams for their shareholders -yet they upto now seem content to see the ZIOc project stuck with no Progress. -no doubt they will cough up billions in an attempt to takeover Angloamerican

Market sees Bird as full of hot air with little substance - let’s have a decent RNS with something tangible that creates shareholder value

Thanks Mike-my broad calculations came out with a PAT figure circa $45 million -in the same ball park as yours .

Compared to the six months ended 31/3/22 there appears to be a significant increase in “speciality” grade chrome -136.kt compared to 75.4 kt

Not long until an indication of results for the period ended 31/3/2024.

Be interesting to see

1-Turnover figures -how this has been impacted by “speciality grade “ chrome

2-the amount paid on “bought in” materials for processing which materially adversely effected the gross profit percentage in the previous period.

3-the amount of capital spent on Karo

Like a lot of companies quoted on the AIM there is a lot of “bigging up of commodity assets” but a total inability to actually get them into production and provide returns to shareholders .

Massive increase in project NPV yet the shareprice marginally down on the day -the market clearly thinks this is a repeat of 2014 (at least there was a shareprice peak then) when last project economics were announced and nothing happened.

Please consider a deal in that results in a shareprice circa £1 to £2 is better for Glencore,yourself and other shareholders than holding out for a higher price and realising nothing .
