Bumble- noted the useful chemistry of fuel cells Alkaline ( Ammonia) vs Acidic(PEM) . Thxs
On further reading I could see the following info standout- It is a minefield indeed.
AFC makes alkaline fuel cell systems and elecrolysers, with its fuel cells and AlkaMem membrane also boasting the ability to reduce costs through being able to use lower quality and less expensive hydrogen sources.
On the DIFFERENCE between different fuel cell and electrolyser technology, that alkaline technology has lower capital costs and better energy efficiency than PEM electrolysers, but has a bigger physical footprint and slower start-up times.
PEMs can respond to fluctuations in energy inputs, which makes them better able to synchronise with variable renewable energy systems, with electrolyser capex costs of around US$1.5-2mln per MW currently versus alkaline below US$1m/MW for big projects.
Bumble
Thxs for the post with the factual info.
I also note that greatest limiting factor for hydrogen fuel cells is Platinum -iridium catalyst . Removal of need for platinum is in itself an achievement with Alkamem- appreciate your further explanation on this which was indeed difficult dig out . Current working by AFC on new high power
fuel cell , if successful would immensely benefit its electric car usage and the mutual boom

Tacet- thxs for posting zero hedge link for World economic forums vision of horrifying future of post covid world. -
Shocking to know that over 13 percent of permanent jobs will be made permanently redundant - although some other statistics may be partly debatable they show a true picture of the economic disaster coming. La Behol- God save the people relying on pension alone for the future.
- Coming to stocks on this WEF background- only way forward to partly negate coming onslaught is to selectively choose stocks having BP like fundamentals and dividends - and stick to it

Robin- Thxs for your reply
You said - For each month that passes more and more new research papers and developments will come. For me my finances are pretty good, but there is a case of spreading yourself too thin to make any real gains so I have 4-5 I really want to be holding
- I agree that Spreading too thin into many of these projects is counterproductive.( as is in the current Hydro and Gold bull or bubble )
- what are your few chosen ones with obvious reasons for the same
Thxs again

Agusta, Bladey and cheeky - Thxs for your replies.
I was considering investing in 2 Hydro Cos of the three - ie AFC , Nel and ITM.
But was just seeing more upside only in AFC, although Nel has better than ITM( based on market caps etc)
Just trying to understand - If all have same principle of "green Hydro" production - Then how does AFC differ from NEl - as both use Exchange membrane stabilisers for hydro production- do they use different techs for this ? or is it that they (Nel) have a wider global network as an initial mover advantage ?
Thank you
MK
Robin - Thxs for the update.
Whilst researching Hydrogen Cos - your posts were helpful.
Have you looked into AFC energy which i came across with some details below:
Thank you
MK
AFC Energy plc (LON:AFC), a leading provider of hydrogen power generation, has announced that it has been invited to present its AlkaMem® anion exchange membrane technology to industry at the prestigious Fraunhofer Society on 1st October 2020.
Germany’s Fraunhofer Society is regarded by many as the world’s leading applied research organisation and is hosting its third Advanced Alkaline Electrolysis conference this week where AFC Energy’s AlkaMem® membrane technology, originally designed for its proprietary high energy density fuel cells systems, will be presented in the context of Alkaline Water Electrolysis and green hydrogen generation.
With the EU electrolysis market expected to reach 40GW by 2030, there is now significant growth potential in this market with alkaline water electrolysers expected to deliver a larger percentage of the overall project demand.
AFC Energy’s AlkaMem® membrane is already being provided to several industrial and academic institutions in Europe under material supply agreements for trials within the field of Alkaline Water Electrolysis with excellent results obtained to date.
Bananaman and the AFC team here-
Was researching a few Hydrogen power generation Cos and came across AFC ( via my other interests PHE , SAE ) No doubt there is lot of potential here. Just out of interest and for comparison, have any of you looked into Nel Hydrogen a dutch company which also is high into hydrogen electrolyser technology and a hydrogen fuel cell provider .
Before jumping in on my first hydrogen investment , was in a process of researching a few such companies
Thank you

Positives Of OMI : we all know the multiples
Negatives of OMI; yet to be defined
It is said that when only few start criticising a share relentlessly there are obvious motives .
It is all the more reason to ignore and move on. Best to focus our energy on the way forward rather then drain with unthought-off so called negatives.
Hopefully news next week
Cheers

Eldo- Realistic TA with 84p likely target on 3rd powerful omi wave. Thxs. Just like to know during the 3rd wave (of course on fundamentals and the news ) are there likely to be large retraces on way forward ??
Mister P- good gold grade chart which very encouraging.
off topic - are you on tgram group too or are you different id there?? LOL
Bharg - Agree friday was a warm up LOL
Hi Tig- You said:
"If its in the kids ISA , then leave it alone.
If its to take your 98 year old mother in law on a cruise, then sell.
If it is to pay off the dreaded mortgage,- then do some calculations. It could be more profitable to retain the mortgage if the SP is going to create growing profits that exceed mortgage costs"
- Very sensible experienced opinion that was . I suppose this opinion holds good for newbies here and the LTHs - as we all know there is so much more potential just in HAV.
Even if one or two of the the other targets show the potential - then exit strategy keeps on moved further and further depending on the individual.
Amazed that GGP now being de-risked , is still in AIM facing the AIM vagaries IMO

Good informative posts - i am sure many have been benefitted.
If some dont post it does not mean they dont read and act R hood
Safe return to work

Geng and Tecet-
You were right. Some pull back here before next leg up. I suppose Geng waiting to buy in below 260 which may be likely but temporary.
I am continuing to buy BP on the dips - i am unlucky trader but like to remain as investor - As someone here said this morning - Good for health and wealth to stay put here .
Astra zenca- bad press SP sliding
Tesla - Sp amazes me - has more legs i would think with Sand P index entry or ? hype
cheers
MK
Geng and Tecet : Fab calls on TA
Have place a buy limit at 2.58 to be safer ( i know you said 2.54 )
How do you guys do that - I couldn't even think of part selling at 273 or even at 278 this morning _-wish i knew
cheers
MK
Kitall
Sorry your trust has been shaken , as also for others here too.
i did tweet yesterday calling out the bod for some logical explanation for placing without PIs
i dont seem to see you on tgram group - if so can you please Pm me - my name same as here .
Enough said on this - and sorry for the rant since yesterday .
Stev, Diruptor , Kitall , turbo, Max
Well said that the trust in the co is fractured. It is clear we have no issues with Placing but how it was done despite all we know.
What next??
How should we get an answer from Bill / BOD on this??
Dont know if we can place this question on AGM but i doubt TP will allow this with their motives
KitAll , Max , Sipp , Steve and the UFO BB team
It is really the question of principles as i have been saying since morning . See the my reply below last night when questions were raised. I confidently replied as below. No doubt Kitall is certainly unhappy as he has been in touch with the Bod and la-behol Placing happens. We know we are going to move forward on this , but be-aware there is certainly a trust issue with UFO now , as PIs have been completely ignored .
I still insist there is good potential here and you know i have topped up today too.
I will bite by tongue for the words below which i am sorry in blind faith .
cheers
MK
From M Kumar reply here on 22.11.20 ( from yesterday) below:
RE: Alien share Price21 Nov 2020 09:21
KitAll - Thxs for your knowhow posts on UFO as you have been LTH here and experienced
Schoolboy- You are correct- it appears no placing at-least over near future of say 4 to 6 months as we have 2 million in the banks. As we have heard from Max and Kitall - they are pretty sure sure and in the knowhow about this IMO
As they say ma be it would be one of the few chances to lad up below 1.75p in the next few days. i personally think there will be some temporary retrace at 2 p level and then upwards (in my Aim experience)
Dgr - good tactic whilst the SP is static to switch to ftse shares - take profit from them and back in ufo ( but hope we all get your fore-sight)
cheers
Mk
Steve , Starbright and Behind the curve
Yes we will be hit in the short term although good news in the long term
As stated below:
It's most likely that the placing shares have gone to the usual opportunistic accounts, and will be sold into the marketplace for a quick turn.
