Al69- with your experienced hat what is your take on thisSp. I know it has strong fundamentals like you. But the momentum of 40percent Sp to below 3.0 is un-nerving for the Newbie like me.

Avacta Group plc (AIM: AVCT), the developer of Affimer® biotherapeutics and reagents, is pleased to announce that Covance will be presenting Affimer data from a joint study at the European Bioanalysis Forum 15-17 November 2017 in Barcelona.



Covance will be presenting data that highlights the validation of Affimer as a critical reagent in clinical assays when good batch-to-batch stability and reproducible performance are a regulatory requirement.



The work carried out collaboratively between Avacta and Covance shows that an Affimer assay to detect and quantify the breast cancer drug Trastuzumab shows good sensitivity and increased assay dynamic range compared to current existing antibody based assays.

Dumbles - a valid question . Although I have posted from 14th April I have been reading the posts for over last 3 weeks and obviously was late to this party being a newbee. ( with additional time on hand at home due to covid lockdown). I do not think that this is sensitive or confidential info as any one who enquires about covid tests can get this info within reason.

Ducatiman - Thxs for good practical suggestion backed by experience,. The global car battery co appears to be BYD if I am right.

Silver - This is direct confirmed info from microbiology lab of the hospital who are in regular contact. Surprisingly they use Roche system Pcr for other diagnostics but covid tests in particular are sent to Southampton, due to agreed network policy. I also believe genesig one is somehow more efficient although don’t quote me on that. Will try and find out though

Just confirmed that collected nasal/ oral swabs from north London hospitals are sent to Southampton for genesig rtPCR test .ie by Ncyt. Don’t know about other uk areas.

Not sure why so many price monitoring sessions today after RNS- any possible reasons for the unaware .

Rk - You have appropriately pointed out the value of appropriate research before diving into opinions, which has been the case with some here. With Avacta , the Sp seems good value considering immense future potential. Arguably this one seems to be most appropriate one currently to invest with better cost/ benefit ratio.

If and when say takeover happens - what would be the likely potential for the SP going forward and will it be usually be assessed and inferred.
We know there is a possibility of this but not yet

Avacta partnering with Moderna .Moderna now ha been given a grant of 483 million to develop Covid vaccine .
I think this is very encouraging news indirectly benefitting Avacta .

Although we all are chewed on to NCYT and wish it makes all the deserved progress, is it not prudent to call it a stop point for investing in one particular share to " avoid all eggs in one basket "policy . Just a thought which creeps up every now and then although you trust all goes well .

Wise words Silver- patience with prudence goes a long way although I must say it is different ride on Aims stock ( my short roller coaster experience with Ncyt yesterday )- which needs some hand holding for which this LSE share chat team has been great . 3 cheers

Any particular reason that there were no huge swings in the SP today - stayed between 420 and 480 today.
May be similar journey tomorrow but buying on the dip seems to be good dictum
