Yes and if there is another Oil major looking in....then we looking at circa +$100m in back costs payable to MATD as part of farm in deal terms.

Cannot remember exact amount MATD have spent since 2010 but $100m would be circa 8p alone using new TVR.

Farm in could be for Block XX only or for both XX and Block V. Speculation at this stage obviously until formal RNS.

But company should be well busy over coming weeks/ months to hammer out a Farm in deal in my view before formalising drill plans for next year. Number of wells planned for 2022 could go up significantly. Petrochina started out with only circa 2000 bopd initially before adding more wells over coming years reaching 25000 bopd peak production.

Current price is a gift. A sniff of farm in partner here and this could be in DOUBLE figures +10pin a heart beat. bit of speculation, but that is what the whole AIM market is about. Isnt it...

Farm in talks now resumed, as 25 year EL now secured. So any uncertainty on EL front now removed.

Matd with cash in bank should be in much better position to negotiate terms and recovery of back costs as part of deal negotiations over the coming weeks / months.

Petrochina the obvious front runner here, unless another Oil Major shows interest also in Block XX given 25 year EL is now in the bag.

Additional $2m via Open offer is for shareholders only at 1 for 16 basis. But most would be able to buy below 3.5p currently.

We know AIM is news driven. Should start getting news hopefully soon. Next 6-12 months could really transform this company. Plenty of Gold Majors about in the neighbourhood to pounce.

Petrochina would be looking to get their teeth into Block XX one way or another. Petrochina production been declining from peak 25,000 bopd. Oil flow from Heron in our Block XX been one of the best they have ever seen.

Yes, we have raised $10m to fast track Heron full field development. Petrochina can fast track drilling multiple wells even quicker like they did in their Block 19.

Heron field could be Double in size of potential 194m barrels.

I think we might get update on Farm in deal soon.
Back costs to recover here must be around $100m or higher. Dont know the exact figure but comes into play as part of Farm in deal negotiations.

Agree. Some kind of deal between MATD and PetroChina is inevitable.

Initial production from Petrochina blocks 19 and 21 was just few thousand bopd, from what i remember and over the years reaching peak production of around 25,000 bopd from Multiple wells before tapering off.

Oil flow seems to be much better in Block XX flowing naturally to surface. Some additional wells might require slight stimulating or might not. Heron looks on track to become bigger than originally thought.

I would love to see another Oil major enter the Farm in race to add bit more excitement. Who knows, there might be one lurking in the background with 25 Years EL now secured.

I just wish they had done placing around 5p plus.
Anyway price should recover after initial shock and reactions. Emotions running high.

There could be JV / Farm in talks happening in the background. With funds in bank, you can negotiate better terms. With a Farm-In deal, MATD can recover substantial back costs. All subject to negotiation but could happen sooner this year.

At the same time, keeping emotion on one side, Heron field has NPV of about $150m which could increase substantially as they got another potential 100-200m barrels highlighted within the licence area.

Proactive interview next..probably next week my guess. Both MB, othet directors and Petrovis all got diluted. Got to keep focus on the bigger picture. Farm-in talks happening in the background i think. May be MATD wanted to go into those talks with funds in bank.

Not surprised with Arden Research 17p and 116p price targets for different time frames.

Also that initial production going to increase when they connect Heron 2,3,4 etc to Heron 1.

We still not even gone back to Gazelle.

Block V with potential 400-600 million barrels also now comes into play either as Farm in partner coming in OR Matd drilling on their own from cash flowing from Heron oil production

You summed it all up pretty well.

Almost bought back in around 6p last week, but at 3.5p its a gift given MATD about to become Oil producer. Low production costs and with Brent Crude storming higher.

Feel bad for some getting in @ 9p but you can always bring your average cost down. In coming months and next year, this should be sitting well over 9p in my view.
