Gaffney Cline? About as honest as they come - I've posted before that they are top class outfit with over 60 years at this game. They audit reserves for MAJOR oil companies, the World Bank and similar. They're one of the top three go-to consultancies in the world at this.

They're not going to screw up that reputation under pressure from a two-bit outfit like UJO

They aren't cheap (or fast) either but their CPR will be as accurate as you can get (it can still be wrong but that applies to any Oil & gas forecast)

A CPR from Gaffney Cline will take at least 3 months to complete from scratch. It was "ongoing" at end of October so I'd say a MINIMUM of 3 weeks away................

Flow rates depends on what they can all agree as a Joint Venture to release.

Agreed - to me th giveaway is that he/she never ****s of the management at all - which even the PI rampers do. It's all very quiet, very measured and totally YES SIR, OF COURSE SIR. Same on the other threads he/she posts on - no hint that the BoD can do any wrong whatsoever.

I suspect FIG are heartily sick of RKH and the promises - the only reason they 'd like them to stay is because they're British. And quite a few islanders hold shares in RKH

They'll want a decent outfit who have deep pockets if there are cost overruns etc and who are going to be in it for the long haul - they were probably gutted when Noble pulled out on Argos and then Harbour did the same ton Sea Lion.

Note "indications", "may be interested" etc etc - he hasn't GOT an offer - at least not one he can evaluate. At best he's called them up and has had someone indicate ideas - such as " we might be interested in paying you in paper with a cash kicker for SFB". he then has to take that to the BoD and his advisers who say "How much paper , ho much cash - and what happens to the loan and hedge (and our bonus)?" And he calls them back and so it goes on .......

Everyone is running spreadsheets red hot and the Advisors are starting some serious billing - it could go on for several months before he gets a deal in writing that he can announce.
