Sound have contacted various shareholders for support and have 13% (probably non-binding at this stage). The BoD has not received as formal offer so they can't recommend
any course of action right now.

Porosity is the amount of space in-between the rock grains - essentially where the oil and gas sits -in place

permeability is a measure of how easily the fluids or gas can flow through the rocks.

You can have high porosity (good) and low permeability (bad) and every variation around that. Increased estimates of permeability mean the oil will flow better into the well and you will get an increase in productivity. These are forecasts of course - to do it properly you have run a reservoir model

Unlikely - they'll only start going through all the comments end of this week. They all have to be logged and considered and replied to - or worse they ask for further details, A month would be a good performance

To be fair I'm not sure they are "adamant" about selling - legally they HAVE to recognise interest and things like indicative offers AND inform the shareholders.

They can only "recommend" or "not recommend" a formal offer. it's up to the individual if they vote to accept or decide to sell the shares in the market. Given the large number of small shareholders on here it may not be easy to convince them to sell - unless of course things start to go wrong - in which case remember Sirius Minerals............

The price is up but still under the valuation that Sound has put on the company . The market isn't convinced this is certain to go up. Bidders will be looking at progress and funds left in the kitty - and of course the hedge starts to loom over everything as time drifts by. No-one will buy if there's any chance they can't meet those delivery times and volumes .

there are no plans to decommission it - it's too useful for other vessels. And if they did it's washers - its not a great big oil platform.

No management will do that - at best you wait 3 years .until you change out those who made the decision. Harbour's Business Model doesn't really fit with developing fields in remote places.

A lot of the day traders are sitting on some big percentage gains, they know a raise is coming and so they're getting out - they can always get back in later and lower

I was surprised by Sounds offer - no cash at all - and their shares can't be described as very attractive to anyone but with so many unknowns still at SFB its going to be hard for anyone to offer much above this - tho cash would help

Don't think so - he's part of a Joint Venture partner - so he probably has no official knowledge of the financial state of Angus, nor their plans or position on a sale or take-over etc.

He may well have up to date information on SFB progress but whilst that is confidential it may not make him an insider. Depends on what he knows and how critical it is.

Does anyone have a theory as to why Forum offloaded tho' - it doesn't make sense to me (as even as one of the evil, bridge dwelling evil trolls. There must be a bit more mileage in this takeover offer thing.

Well they never give any production guidance, they never update the production figures, they never give interviews (now - tho they did in the days of the Billionsof Barrels).... basically the management have gone AWOL

People I've talked to in the business reckon the production just didn't cover the overheads of a large outfit like WINGAS and that any further upside was small and risky. The sale was effectively an auction where the person who asked for the least cash to take it on (with the liabilities) won. ANGS weren't the only bidder I believe - not sure who else bid but probably the usual suspects at the time (when gas prices were low) - EDR, UKOG, Europa, Igas........
