If you expect 4p why does the market currently value the stock at 0.85p?

In most takeovers you get a premium to the current SP - that would suggest just over 1p for 20% and 1.2 p for 50% - people don't over pay

Investors in small oilers (see Angus etc) are all shouting that its time for the Big Boys to buy them and its all rubbish of course

But Sea Lion is a bit different - it is appraised, there are reasonable reserves fro a major , a lot of running room for future exploration, its in a (relatively) safe location and the tax regime is attractive. I could see someone like BP wading in here if only to generate some better publicity

You're correct but the companies hate doing it. I suspect that a number of companies are holding off - this is a terrible time to try and get any news out and sentiment for any stock is all over the place.

I'm afraid that's nonsense - a geothermal well in Cornwall costs over well £10 mm and there isn't a commercial geothermal operation in the world that ( outside of Iceland) that doesn't depend on vast and continuing public subsidies

Cover on RKH there are souls saying that Sea Lion (with taxpayers money) is the answer to the current energy squeeze - and get worked up when it's pointed out it's 3 years away minimum. Yet here, where we should have gas by mid-summer, the price continues to wallow way below a confetti offer by a bunch of chancers.

UKOG +8.9p down to 0.1p with massive dilution
UJO 0.45 down to 0.2 with a 200 to 1 reissue in as well
ANGS 35.75 down to 1.1 with large dilution
RKH 10 years and £ 250 mm spent on the Falklands and not a drop of oil produced
