News - that's not how things work with Uk oil & gas - - the Govt takes the view it is the COMPANY's responsibility. They check the drilling and testing plans for safety and environmental issues but make NO input to the chance of success etc - after all, it isn't their money

The only "outsider" is if the Company commissions a CPR - UKOG have avoided this (o rthey haven't published one recently) - they don't have to publisher or even file that with anyone.

No system publishes accurate Buy/Sell information. This site rates it as a sell (red) if your TRADE Price is lower than the mid price in the published range - if your TRADE price is above the mid point of the quoted range it's rated as a BUY (Blue)

It's really useless - why they persist with it is beyond everyone................ and before you ask there is no way you can actually tell the difference - you'd need access to the order books of every trader all the time and that isn't possible for anyone - not even the Stock Exchange

Simply NO - its not that complex for those who do it every day and have access to Platts. I don't understand why you need to know the exact value of each shipment anyway - the gross changes in production and the OP swamp all the small differentials such as 15c a bbl for marketing. Right now they are creaming it for sure

Well I've been to both and I've seen the wave and weather data and the water depths and they are remarkably similar. SOUTH of the FI is worse than West of Shetland but north isn't too bad. Remember RKH never lost a single day to bad weather in their extended drilling campaigns on Sea Lion etc

The only thing they should be thinking of is rapid diversification of the income stream - it's very risky only depending on a single well and a single FPSO

they had to have the cash to be able to sign the offshore farm-in deal I expect

AFAIR the only technical issue at SL is it's waxy crude - so they need some special kit but nothing that isn't well known and used elsewhere

Premier farmed in just as the oil price went south - they hoped it would come back in 12 months and save them but it didn' t - it was years of low prices - and they'd loaded up on debt. They had to cut and sell all over the shop - it was nothing to do with the "technical difficulty" of SL - which is relatively shallow and in water depths and sea conditions similar to the Central N Sea.

i'm always suspicious of investors in small oilers saying "this is the answer to the Crisis" but I really do think SL would be quite interesting to a medium to large outfit looking to replace lost reserves elsewhere . THE critical thing about SL is that it is appraised - you only (only!!!) have to build install the production kit (assuming you can keep your engineers from re-designing the toys for the 3rd or 4th time).

And you know FIG will sign it off pretty fast - the moment they do you can add the reserves as non-producing proven
