There is market speculation that Aquarius could throw its lot in with Northam Platinum (NHM) and analysts suggest this would be a sensible move and would allow Aquarius to sell most of its assets. This could leave a combined group holding Northam’s Zondereinde mine‚ Aquarius’s Everest mine and possibly Kroondal and the Zimbabwean mine. Northam is nearing completion of its Booysendal mine and it is in talks with Aquarius to sell the southern portion of Booysendal‚ which neighbours Everest. Analysts suggest using Everest’s infrastructure would help unlock value at Booysendal.

As long as we close around the 72.5-73 mark i will be happy as that is around what the Aussies closed at last night with platinum rising above $1700 and Dow up etc if we can stay roughly the same id hope to see the Aussies lead the way with a gain overnight .

Just the markets IMO ASIA was up at the start along with ASX dropped through the night and will be profit takers at every new High of this new range just the way it is . In Oz when it reached that level it had risen 20% in like 1 trading day and an hour of the next so sellers would have taken that and moved on IMO . Has to be a correction we cant just rise and rise though it would be nice like i said im happy to consolidate in the 70s and see what happens in the lead up to results

Offloaded most of these into AQP mate was fed up with sitting on some losses was only 5% down here but made the right move at the right time luckily . But still think LED have the model right for what they are trying to do just going to take time for the EMC contracts to turn into real profits and they didnt seem to be signing up the contracts quick enough for my liking

well no surprise asia reversed to negative overnight and aqp retraced a little nothing does up in a straight line . Hopefully we will consolidate above 70p now . 12 days to results

Cant complain on a flat day with most other plat miners LMI and AAL we push to another closing high . Just hope the Dow and Platinum shift up a bit from where weve closed and the Aussies can carry it on . Another good day for AQP . Lets hope Bills chart comes to fruition do like a Bull Flag Lol

Well looks like we have consolidated yesterdays rise where we were the highest rising of the platinum miners . Cheers for posting the chart over here Bert much appreciated . Again from recent trends we have Higher Highs and Higher Lows again in todays trading so still positive to consolidate a near 11% gain from the day before and have more buyers than sellers and up on a market down day

The Institutions shorting this at low 40s must be getting seriously concerned and getting possible margin calls on the shorts . With another potential rise this morning yesterdays AAL news and Q results in 13 days well you know what the shorters have to do to get out BUY and still a decent % out on loan

At 71.75p the company is valued at £338 million. The company has cash or cash equivalents of £170 million. But the operational gearing is huge. At “normal” PGM prices which – thanks to Anglo – we are heading back to this company trades on an EV/EBITDA multiple even today of less than two. Yeah im looking at JLP that you mentioned . Might have a punt on it in the morning chart looking good and due a bounce . Going to look at it a biut more tonight i had a decent holding in JLP years ago and remember it going to 50p shows how long ago that was though shares have been issued recently shares in issue not too bad and the power sharing deal is good in SA at the moment. Resource is good but will look a bit more overnight and decide in the morning may just stick it on a T20 and see if it can do an SLP. Back to AQP results due 2 weeks today and if Kroondal is as it should be back to full production from Jan think still more to come here IMO im here till £1.20 - £1.50 but happy to wait another 6 mths if it takes that

"If they put any shaft on care and maintenance, all of the operations will go on strike. Nothing like this will be allowed," said Evans Ramogka, labour leader in Rustenburg, centre of last year's strikes and where most of the cuts will fall. Last year's strikes brought many of South Africa's platinum and gold mines to a standstill. Lets see what the Aussies make of it overnight some catching up to do and lets see if any other brokers have a view in it tomorrow nice of Panmure to reiterate the £1.63 target they last updated in October after Murray went so now consider the AAL news as significant enough to put a note out lets see who follows and whether some of the lower price targets are upped
