jsmith23, Also look at historical trades on the AFN for potential big dumps or buys at the peak? Hopefully for them someone sensible was dumping on 6 June reported after hours of 3 trades, etc : Price: 8.50 Vol: 5,600,000 Bid/Offer 8.7/9.2 @ 1715hrs 5,600,000 Price: 8.75 Vol: 3,000,000 Bid/Offer 8.7/9.2 @ 1715hrs 3,000,000 Price: 8.90 Vol: 1,400,000 Bid/Offer 8.7/9.2 @ 1715hrs 1,400,000
PrimeRate, somethings that might signal traction in the future: 1. Asking the staff in the shops in the high street where BigDish has a presence if they have heard of a restaurant discount app - see if they come up with the name BigDish (do not inform them of BigDish if don't name it. Go back X months later and see if they have heard of BigDish). Alternatively, tell them about BigDish & ask them to download the app and share with friends on social media. (One would hope though that the Territory managers have already done this perhaps). This could be done as a beta test in an established area, someone go to Ferndown (Bournemouth area) where the nice Mozi, BigDish partner, did a video for BigDish Chianti Restaurant and make him even happier. Repeat in each area.
Bermondsey, glad to remind you of good times. I don't know what they teach them at the local grammar schools these days in economics, but I did notice one of the local bridges tagged with 'DTG' shortly before Dart Group went on a meteoric rise!
trend364, everyone that reads this board should pile in, then perhaps someone go stand next to the JP Morgan Chase Bank slip road in Bournemouth with a sign saying 'Buy BigDish', and everyone should be laughing. I'm sure some blogger must've done that before the meterioric rise earlier in the year ;p Then a few weeks later someone else stand at the exit road with a sign saying, go short bigdish. Lol.
When table pouncer had launched in 2013 under their model, at a snapshot in time, it appears in the early days they had the following: 23 restaurants on 26 June, 62 restaurants on 30 July, 56 restaurants on 29 September, 115 restaurants on 20 November, 133 restaurants on 5 December, 158 February 2014. etc A snapshot can be viewed here for each of the years: https://web.archive.org/web/20130601000000*/www.tablepouncer.com/london/restaurants
monty5662, next time you have contact with the BigDish team, could you raise the issue of trying to minimise any unusual apparent filled tables/down time in the booking system where it may show no tables available. For example, last night between approximately 1025-midnight on the website, when looking for tables at numerous restaurants in numerous areas it showed 'Please try other dates or adjust your party size. '. However, shortly after midnight and still this morning, those very same restaurants now show many tables available. I just wonder how many people may log on in this time, see there are supposedly no tables avilailable and not bother looking the following morning, when clearly there are in fact tables available.
Surely investors would hope for at least one decent restaurant per borough in London when they launch in London, which would be 32. And perhaps at least one in the city of london, making a total of 33.
