I'm out too. Don't trust them to deliver. They never have. GL all.
Crikey Brian, you've outdone yourself!
I have a thought : the company has been a ****sh0w for years and people think they might still pull one last rabbit out of their ar5e before everything is agreed and finalized.
I've seen this exact thing I'd say around 4 times that I can remember. People on the board wanna chew him up and spit him out, someone goes and meets him face-to-face and says something like "he seems like a stand-up guy, I've changed my mind."
Rinse and repeat.
I'm with Lloyds and was able to use their chat function to cast a no vote. Just had to give date and amount of resolutions on the day and how I would be voting.
Does the article suggest two bidders or am I reading into it too much? In the beginning it says that russian big-wig is making a bid, (can't remember his name sorry) but later in the article sources close to Amur say they believe he isn't heading the bid from the company they're currently talking to.
And yet ironically something AMC message-board posters have been saying for about a decade.
Yeah you use charts to predict several outcomes, then after one of those outcomes you say your chart predicted it.
I wait a decade for something to happen, watching my initial investment dwindling, averaging down against my better judgment only to watch it go down further. I write off all the money I invested and consider each share a lottery ticket that I have no chance of winning, holding onto the share out of sheer bloody-mindedness. Then suddenly, against seemingly all the odds, an offer is made on the company and I'm afforded a glimmer of hope. More than a glimmer of hope - a shining beacon of joy that I might finally call an end to this sage and recoup my losses or ... perhaps ... end up in profit?! And then at the height of euphoria, with a good chunk of my losses already recovered ... a chuffing war breaks out. And if that wasn't bad enough, while I'm punching myself in the face for ever daring to get excited about this share ever again, the price of Nickel skyrockets to never-before-seen levels.
It's like a higher power has specifically engineered a set of circumstances to exact the maximum amount of negative emotions. I couldn't have imagined up something crueller. F*ck you amur minerals.
Then 3 weeks later war breaks out. I always thought RY might spend too much time on the pot and not enough time shiTTing but I never would have guessed a war would be our undoing.
That's my point really. Geng is insistent that his charting factored everything in and that impending war isn't really a factor.
I was a supporter of using the charts as a tool, but Geng's insistence that they are all that matter has proved to be quite wide of the mark this month, along with the refusal to admit that he's been wrong.. He's made some conflicting predictions and on the movement here and the references which-ever one supports the movement of the day. Same guy who supposedly called the 1.6p drop was also buying more in the 3's ... and now it's dropped below the 1.6 level that it wasn't supposed to drop to.
Don't get me wrong, Geng's made some good calls in the past, but his insistence that he's infallible has changed my view. Guys like Nostradamus - he probably made a post that we'd go to 1p at some point too.
Geng 16th Feb : "I suspect having mopped up all the chancers in the 3-4p range they will look to start shaking out some of the medium termers in the 4-5p range."
Geng's chart didn't see this coming!
I just feel like we won't see the TEO. No idea why, it just wouldn't surprise me.
"This is a really boring, drawn out, end game"
Jokes on them; I expected nothing less.
I don't wanna be a party pooper but that's not realistic at all. 76p is a big fat juicy number that everyone would love, but it's so far from realistic that I'm doubting reality just reading it. If I have a million quid in a safe but you have the key for me to get it, how much is the million really worth? I should say a damn sight less than a million. We need that key way more than a buyer needs our safe IMO. That's why we're at 3.6p.
Sorry to hear you only have a few months left to live.
If this is the endgame its reassuring to see it's just as ridiculous and disappointing as the past eight years.
Because people trust the board about as far as they can throw them?
I find it preeeeeeety fishy that we have a bidder arrive just before an imminent TEO. Backhanders all round.
