As an employee on the cusp of retirement this up turn has been very welcome .I kept hold of shares I bought at high and low prices through sip over the past 15-20 years .It would be nice to get better dividend payments but I'm just happy with the upward trend .
Spot on ,he has lost so many skilled engineers the man hours lost is astonishing to say the least .They are also now offering more money to the ones who stayed to try and meet demand it's only summer . No confidence poor decision making , lack of grass root problem solving customers suffering =customers lost Mr O'Shea .This share is going nowhere soon .
Poorly run company from the top .Who sacks loads of engineers to save money then have so many engineers leave after the cull, to now giving them more money to try to slow the exodus before winter. They let knowledgeable business sector managers leave to replace them with people who have no idea of what they are running.Is that good leadership there customers are being let down badly .
1.... engineers on 40 k ...only with overtime or weekend working.
2... They HAVE to pay for the private health insurance it's not Free .
3.... Best not read what a company or union spin .
4. ... Hope they have turned the corner .
Any company its jobs for the boys .Centrica always been back scratching (Conn the worse )we will wait and see what they Will pay themselves for cutting engineers wages .I can see handsome bonuses for robbing Peter to pay Paul .
It's always the same at centrica ! Management the old boys club have always looked after themselves obscene rewards for failure after failure. Fire and rehire is a disgusting way to treat any employee of any company. They will save money for there own fat bonuses just wait and see .
Jedclampit has no idea ,engineers United against the deplorable act of fire and rehire as most politicians.Plain Bullies before they cut engineers hourly rate make them work longer hour and take holidays away..
Then watch them get there big bonuses .Robin hood in reverse.
It's ironic the higher management of this company gets fantastic bonuses and golden handshakes for very very poor leadership. I imagine there employees must be livid with having to reapply for there jobs accepting longer working hours for less money. BA gone the same way.

The Bod and management have sunk this once great company to work for .If they had taken notice of what was being said on the ground many years ago, but no they keep cashing there big fat wage packets with there heads up there own ????
The BOD have been the same breed over many many years all Greedy paying themselves much more than they deserve !!! Golden goodbye's and massive pensions for failing there employees and shareholders .
The poor workers left behind to try and keep this company going by cutting jobs and there pensions too !
Here is what he has done 40yr long service award was £1500 cut to £250, put pension contributions up for less pension, wiped millions of share price, lost millions of customers, cut thousands of jobs, closing call centres. I don't know how he sleeps at night. Brexit what Brexit the untouchable few at the top.
