My guess for dividends is slightly longer (2027), and that is the timescale for most of my early play holdings to coincide with what I hope will be my retirement.

I had been following (loosely) BCN for a couple of years, but had enough LI positions prior to Nemaska going bust. As a great believer in the Electric Revolution, and LI in particular, when I lost a lot in NMX (for me £128k is a lot), it was time to spread my holdings within the same sector, not to be caught out again with large single positions. So, I've taken profit from holdings (Livent in particular) and spread it around. I have bought in here since last Oct and consider this as one of my lesser risk investments, although I think growth will come first prior to dividends, I'll be happy to sit back and wait.

MrC, I hope you are not implying I am a ramper, I am a LTH (for my SIPP), I do not trade. The point I was making is that if you are a LTH, if there are positive vibes it is contrary to your position to knock. By all means criticize on what you feel it is negative, or even blow off steam at your frustration on lack of news, but the time is not right when the 'boss' is painting rosy pictures. Enough said by me, which by the way is not intended to offend, just opinion.

Point taken Jp, but when there is an obvious positive, then why point out the less obvious negatives? There is plenty enough opportunities for criticism along the way without also putting negative spins on positive interviews. No-one doubts the need for objectivity, but not just for the sake of it. The next two years are going to be long enough. I would expect LTH's to be critical when deserved, but to 'bite their tongue' on the negative rhetoric when good vibes are available?

I've only been a holder since Oct '20 after being burned (big time) by Nemaska, and intend to be here for dividend payments. I've never quite understood why LTH's have a go at THEIR project? Feel negative, best to say nothing.

PS came across in a very confident manner (best I've seen him), and the way he portrayed the future was as if the project was already in production. He genuinely looked like he had secrets to tell, but the timing was not just right (but he was busting to reveal)....lol.
It is also enlightening that he talks of listing on the main London Exchange, does anyone know if there are special SP criteria to list (like the NASDAQ requiring a minimum $5 requirement)?

Ditto on the 'too many eggs' DP. I learned my lesson with Nemaska Lithium #1 where I had 428k shares and lost the ****in lot... ;-{

FingS, you're prob correct about sequence of announcements. I would be unfair on Czech investors to not give them the opportunity to buy at these prices, because they won't be available when an offtake agreement is the news.

There may already be agreements ready to announce (going by recent language), but how could you without first giving the Czech public the same opportunity as the rest of the global investment community?

TV, I had a reasonable position in one of RobecoSAM Clean Energy ETF funds and it more than doubled over a couple of years. Good outfit, Investors such as them bode well for the future and I would expect other institutions will sit up and take notice.

They have so many threads in the industry that it is a worry that they could delay construction indefinitely while taking advantage of other opportunities? How far up the priority list is this project in their agenda? What control does BCN really have in their own destiny?
IMO there is no doubt that when a construction programme is announced, this will fly, I mean really take off. But the longer it takes from here on in with an announcement, the greater the worry!
