From my own personal experience JudgeM, your bang on. Lost 128k from my SIPP (two thirds) on a single company. It was a 'stone waller', couldn't fail, had Government backing etc.....aye right!
You live and learn, and it's taken two years to recover approx three quarters of my loss.

The main point to my comment was the fact that SAV had put such a tight timescale on the completion of the works without any pressure to do so, which in turn gives me an optimistic view of where we are with other things (DIA). DA also starting to step up on Linkedin again;

If the deal is made and we are indeed just waiting on the lagalities being finalised as some have indicated, shortermizem will not have an affect on the end result (IMO)...GLA

Mizm - when Germany energy is considered, in my mind, where is their fallback, the obvious place to go to is their eu partners (French Nuclear), or their friends US LNG. Would not be difficult to see this scenario and who would suffer, of course that would be the little fish in the big pond.

Doesn't take a lot of imagination to wonder where Glencore are going to source their Cobalt, Nickel etc that is reasonably local to Norway and potentially Finland (where Freyr are also investigating the potential of setting up a Battery factory).

Ditto Starf....there is plenty room for all in the EU space. And in fact the more progress any individual makes, the better for the whole industry.

Monty, SAV is my top Lithium play for short term gain. If the Portuguese Gov APA approve savannah resources EIA (decision imminent) this could easily double or triple in days. All IMO of course.
