Why inform your opposition of your confidence in the big picture, it'll only encourage them to hold onto your coat tails. So, pls MB, do not exercise your options as others in my opinion will follow only to drag us back down on positive news. GAZA, twist for me. Had decided on a strategy of small monthly increments between 5-8p a couple of wks ago. BUT, fell by the wayside at the first hurdle, and instead doubled my SIPP holding last week. Just could not for the life of me resist 5.1p, or more to the point cursing losing that opportunity 6mths down the line....GLA

I agree James, even selling up on the cheap now under the present adverse conditions at say £1B would give a seven fold increase on current SP - now that's mental.

I read a lot on here and very rarely post as there are too many agendas to keep track. At the moment I have some (85k) shares in an SIPP and a small amount in an ISA. I know there are a lot of genuine people disillusioned, but to be honest at the current price, or for that matter up to about 8p this is as good a punt as you could get in a small handicap field at the 'gee gees'. So current holdings in a drawer, and new small spare cash monthly position beckoning (as nowhere else in the stock market looks any better)....GLA

Grants and debt got to be agreed already, otherwise how could they come up with such a defined figure (120-130) for equity. And to have agreed debt, there will be a time limit to sign (interest rates going up weekly), so we must be close.... surely?

I personally like the story here, even with the war as the bod have the time and patience (as they've proved) to see a sale and E#2 out to conclusion. If nothing else the last six months have allowed me to average down to around 16p, and would do more if it weren't for becoming overweight (been there, done that with Nemaska Lithium #1).
The long haul should be excellent, if you've time constraints, maybe not so good for you.

My take - APA actual extends EIA approval potentially by 50 days + 6mths. And first production potentially not until 2026.....CRAP.

Ironic that climate change, drought, declining water access is precisely the reasons why a change to our energy structure is needed. And mining battery materials is prerequisite to the transition from the old ways that have caused the global problem. They have water shortage without a mine now, they may not have a village future at all if climate action is not taken.

Whatever the requested change(s) may be Hospi, I doubt SAV would allude to the idea they could re-submit by end Sept if they were not confident on that timeframe. They were under no pressure to do so, and the new (stand-in) CEO would not want to lose face by making rash promises when they didn't have. He'd look rather incompetent if they don't meet that date now....GLA

I know what you're saying ChM, you could also apply the same logic to EMH where they allowed control of the project by others (that are dragging their heels). But on the other hand, if SAV maintain control, but allow one of the most respected company's in not only Portugal to have a stake, we'd all be in a win win. They'd have access to LI with excellent ESG, we'd have additional funding and access to their already agreed Gov / EU cheap funding. And, essentially, we'd gain credibility through Galps good name.

AgeB, 'nuclear over renewables being ignored'. Maybe that's something to do with cost (onshore wind is cheapest available energy source). Or the fact that renewables do not leave hundreds of years legacy for the public to pick up the tab?

Don't quite know where you are coming from except taking a very extreme positive from something that is an obvious delay.

All well and good that they are doing their jobs by doing the parts of the DFS that they can work on. But that does not take away from the fact that there are parts of the DFS that are fed by the EIA, and that the article confirms 1yr to complete from receipt of the approved EIA. So, back to square one - EIA approval +1yr.
Then there is the other disappointing aspect of mine start date (if like me you want to be in for the long term). Again the article is quite specific, 'early 2026 commissioning'. So, I am hacked off about the timeline regardless of DF upping his stake by several thousand pound. That also doesn't mean I've lost faith in the project, I'll be going nowhere, just being realistic.

Ps and personally I ain't missing out either. I'll be here long term, just highlighting the obvious which is a disappointment to me as I did see this as a mover and shaker this year (not next other following).
