Democratic Party's presidential candidate Joe Biden enjoys an 11 percentage point lead over incumbent United States President Donald Trump with less than three weeks left to go before the election, a new national poll conducted by NBC News and Wall Street Journal showed on Thursday.
The former vice president had support from 53% of the registered voters who took part in the survey, while 42% of them said that Trump is their preferred candidate. The poll was carried out following the return of the US head of state to the White House after hospitalization for coronavirus treatment and shows that Biden's lead narrowed by 3 percentage points compared to the previous, post-debate survey by the same pollsters.
Notably, the Republicans have a 46% to 33% lead over the Democrats when it comes to dealing with the economy, the number one issue in deciding how to vote for president for most respondents.

The University of East Anglia has conducted tests on six of Britain's biggest tea brands in order to find out the amount of plastic included in their bags.
Each one of the teabags was placed in a copper ammonia solution for five days, which dissolved any material apart from plastic.
While the tests showed some bags degraded and broke down easily, others included significant amounts of non-biodegradable plastic.
