Precious metals rise amid virus fears, silver up 3%r5 Nov 2020 15:12
Precious metals traded with gains on Thursday as the fears of the possible effects that the fresh batch of COVID-19 containment measures could have on economies worldwide prompted the traders to turn to safe-haven assets.
Gold gained 1.21% at 3:21 pm CET, selling for $1,927.45 per ounce, while silver soared 3.54% to go for $24.75 per ounce at the same time.
A minute later, platinum rose by 2.40% to sell for $892.95 per ounce. Palladium jumped by 4.84% to $2,393.9 per ounce at 3:24 pm CET.
