Roger from Antipa mentioned Rio looking for strategic partners or something similar ref: Winu, last week during his Diggers presentation. Wonder if GGP can play a part here. The Paterson region is becoming a Game of Thrones playground at the moment, lots of moving pieces. Rio were happy to partner with GGP on the land around Telfer, now Rio look keen to offload Winu. Seems Rio prefer to focus on other global locations leaving the Paterson to new players.

This will all change if GGP can take control of Telfer and Havieron

Agree with Pepper et.al. We noted by many here over most of this year.... we need clarity.

- Is GGP buying 70% of Hav and Telfer, or, 70% of Hav, or none of either?

- At what price?

- How will it be financed?

- Will a buy be GGP alone, or, via a partnership with another miner?

- When is the FS being issued for Havieron?

- When is the DTM officially being made?

- When is first revenue from Havieron?

- Many questions without answers equals too much uncertainty equals share price stalling.

GGPs highly experienced team tell me something’s cooking behind the scenes … the new CFO left a great company for GGP.. as they all did. Follow the bread crumbs.

Also those staff share options at 11p (buy in price for staff) tell me that if they make generational wealth they need a shared price well in the 20s.

Say 25p sale price minus 11p buy price equals 14p profit a share, less Oz taxes. In Australia if you hold shares for over 12 months you get a 50% CGT discount .. meaning half the profit is tax free and the other half taxable. Assuming a 50% marginal tax rate it would effectively means 25% of the profit is paid in tax and 75% retained.

Without researching this I gather the tax point starts when the options are first exercised… if they sell within 12 months the whole profit is taxable, assume half is paid in tax at highest tax rate. Wait 12 months and 25% is lost in tax. Show me the money Jerry! (Jerry Maguire)

He called me a 🐍 as well. Hmm strange as all I did was share his post here and ask if it’s legit or nonsense. We all wanted to believe him and that was the week we’ve all waited for. However he put his head on the chopping block on Monday via series of tweets tagging many many important people. This was to add credibility to his “news”. However nothing has been announced so now the guy looks very very silly.

“If” GGP buy 70% of Havieron plus Telfer (or not) they’ll have to look to their debt and equity options. If they intend to raise funds from both LSE and ASX exchanges then they’ll need a prospectus, so a lot of work.

I’m sure GGP are in constant talks with their debt providers and some brokers about future raisings. A lot going on in the background I’m certain of that. When these announcements are made to market they are the result of a lot of work behind the scenes.
