thou shalt not invest in dodgy, shoestring AIM companies
wow, that's a lot of zeros on the wrong side of the decimal point!
There have been many delays over the years this airline has been trying to take off. But flights have taken off and landed. The fact that they are still going makes me think that someone still loves them. How much? I don't know
I can't answer that because I don't know what price they are going to offer, if they do indeed offer a price to buy the company. Remember that the major shareholder only has to pick up a few shares to become 100% owner. It's a gamble, but if you hold at this level, and you're not worried about what you've put in, I'd hold.
That guy may be or may not be the largest shareholder. That's irrelevant. Some companies do go under. They are the ones that nobody sees any future in, have run out of funding ideas, and are simply written off and become names on the companies list. Names to be bought and revigorated, often as completely different businesses. Some companies, though, go private. When that happens, they see a future, but don't want a market listing with all the expense it involves, let alone a share price behaving like a jumping bean. That is, off course, after they have squeezed as much money out of investors to start the thing up.When that happens, private investors are not really taken into consideration when they decide on the final share price before going private. As it is usually a whopping percentage above the last three months average price, the directors advise shareholders to accept the offer.
Like I said, Good luck all, DYOR, IMHO, Clear for take off, Fasten your seatbelts, In it to win it, Use it or lose it and any other inane catch phrase you want to add.
There is not luck. You should all be aware that you are trying to sell to each other at whatever price your charts or tea leaves tell you. Most of you know this of course, but recently born into the market babies don't.
The price four years ago was 35 pence
What more do you need to know? Another serious investor gives advice. As a back up, I would also recommend reading the Fastjet in-flight magazine. This rag, in the past, when the shares were 2 pounds, was the source of all you needed to know when making a decision whether or not to buy them.
I agree. Sensible words. Maybe Get Rich Quick had his tongue firmly in his cheek when he chose his moniker. Vitually no private investor gets rich on AIM, let alone quickly. Get poor quickly is more likely to be the outcome of messing around with these stocks. I've also noticed there is an inverse correlation between the amount of mindless chatter and the share price of individual stocks.
I don't want to contribute to the 'socialness' of it , I'm trying to warn people. I've seen all this before back in the halcyon days when Fastjet was around a pound. Someone started something called the Stalwarts Club. This was supposedly a social club of Fastjet share holders who would post their share purchaces saying things like 'put me down for a thousand'. They would receive a reply from the club president saying, 'thanks mate, noted' or 'good on ya mate'. All very social and matey. Now look at the share price.
Any normal person, on being shown a print -out of the conversations on here, would think they were the communications between inmates residing in different lunatic asylums around the country.
I think the filter function is an option is to block out people who use offensive , racist, sexist language or those who threaten violent behaviour, like breaking people's legs. It's not for people who hold a contrary opinion to yours.
That word should ring alarm bells for people presently holding this share. They have had many fundings, millions of pounds, and the price just keeps going down. My advice to those holding is to write off their 'investment' mentally. You can sell and recover a little of your money if you want to, or just hold on and see if things get better. This isn't the only apple on the tree, and as apples go I wouldn't want them in my barrel.
Instead of ignoring this person, Breakfree, why don't you respond to him with a reasoned argument as to why you think Fastjet has a glorious future? Also it's pointless throwing insults around like he's mad or a loner. And these insults come from people who call themselves 'serious investors'. Serious investors to not do that sort of thing.
Guys, you've got to realise that you are fighting amongst yourselves. No serious punter gives a blind bit of notice to what you write here. If you heed investment advice such as Good Luck All or This Will shoot up, Don't miss the boat , you're deranged. If you posted it , you're trying to sell.
Fastjet shares have been rolling downhill ever since they were first issued.
That's what Fastjet is valued at 1.28pm 3 July. Based on what?
This is not looking good
That would mean a 600% rise in the price. Noone is going to pay that unless they already own 99% of the company.
