RE: Moving shares from Dealing account to an ISA account.2 May 2020 12:04
Thanks Monte
As always a bit more complex than the original question I posed.
I suppose I was coming at it from being a LTH in solg with several purchases over the past 4/5 years and flipping into bed and isa every April was of course to utilise annual CGT allowance on the gains made.
Can anyone recommend a good bit of reading that explains how the revenue view multiple purchases and what is permissible on transferring tranches of shares into ISA from the main bulk in the trading account?
Eg. I recently bought a batch of solg at 22 in trading account.
Can I elect to select that purchase as the transferring shares or does the revenue look at the whole pot on gains made when calculating whether or not exceeded annual allowance?
