Think it’s sometimes easier to let these things play out.
Everyone has a right to post, or filter, but they should then respect that right for others.
We seem to be trending back up towards positive so fingers crossed

Think a bit of profit taking after the last 3 weeks since results day is very healthy for the sp.
Hopefully buybacks take care of it , and there are no negative news items to give more downward energy.
Maybe crude report today will revitalise sp.

Wanted my 1,000 post to be something I would remember.
Turned out to be my Spights for Prime Minister post.
I’m quite happy that was what randomly came out.

Just back from Norway at start of month
I love the Norwegian way of thinking.
The story we were told was they were building tunnels to link 3 islands .
Project came in early and under budget so they just carried on and linked another island by tunnel.
Never happen here.
That’s why they get voted happiest country.

That’s all the shares I borrowed from wife when she wanted rid of at £4.18 now gone last lot went for £4.5775.
Now have time to sit tight before selling anymore.
It will have to start with a £5 before some more have to go.
To To top heavy in BP to stay this way forever.
It’s got worse lately as had to sell other shares for work on house, as BP picked just that time to drop from £4.50s

Imagine a world where the renewables are cash positive, the debt has been repaid, and the Gulf of Mexico payments are past.
Your Grand kids will be rather lucky( although to be honest I’m not sure the next generation are going to have a golden world ,things seem to only get worse)

I wondered if they front end loaded the first 2 quarters so that they bought up shares before they went ex div deliberately.
This meant the total div pot went further and made it possible to justify the 10% increase.
Think this time it’s a smoother buyback, possibly designed to keep sp slowly rising.
Hope they have a little spare in tank to overcome any days with big downward pressure.
I did note in US last. Night. that of the 4 oil shares I watch only BP was positive.
Shell Exxon, Cheveron were all negative.
