Morning Spights and Jakers
I have always said energy prices and particularly oil prices were a large part of the inflationary problem.
A year ago oil was just below $80 so a large part of the rise in oil should now be in rear view mirror.
So maybe the first signs of inflation easing in US will translate to here also.
If it peaks soon maybe wage pressure can ease soon also.
Don’t think we are out of the woods yet.
But maybe a little good news would be good, instead of talking ourselves into recession.

It would be nice to get a bit of feedback on how BOD see their plans going forward.
And how they rate their progress so far.
But it possibly is best if they keep the market in the dark.
I have always been convinced that they expected buybacks to lift sp much higher than has happened, so buybacks should be way ahead of plan( especially with oil price probably being higher than their plan also)

Or to phrase it another way plenty of time for our politicians to **ck up.
And drop the pound again

And we did today slightly clouding the issue also.
Although I suspect it’s mainly a dollar v pound story today

Apparently tomorrow a holiday in US so maybe we will get another feel good Friday, while they are not looking

£4.82 not to bad after yesterday
Especially since crude dropped a bit after EIA reported crude build.
However for anyone paying attention to the after close sp movements which up till now have always been down.
Today Google is showing a small rise and a closing price f £4.86.66 for a rise today of 0.96 of a pence.
I would also note ADR went ex div today so slightly harder to compare both.

Don’t think any of us would feel sympathetic to them when we are the ones stopped on way to important meeting or even worse funeral.
My concern is some of those Greenies have bigger carbon footprints than any of us.
Others are just professional protesters who do it because they have nothing better to do.
And Greenpeace are often as bad ,they never give credit that you have improved practices they only want this strange perfection that never really exists.
And just to clarify I’m not a climate change denier.
I see it as something that should have been addressed properly years ago.
