Definitely, people are fed up. Check X, people are willing to accept 20/30 to get out of this. The assets are superb, the timing is excellent but what is going on?

Well, 2024 is gone although someone on X still reflecting on the AGM announcement timing. Once in 2025, you have to wait until after the elections which takes us may be to May/June. Then who knows? it needs patience, a lot of it.

1. How long Mather can wait if the market is willing to pay say 25/30?

2.FNV have done their DD and the permits dont look to be an issue for them.

3. If the project is derisked (permits..) then a low offer wont have a chance to go.

4. PFS and how Cascabel can be expanded, all that is something an operator is more likely to define rather than rely on Solgold.

of course the company needs to continue derisking but a low offer at this stage would make some sense, IMHO.

May be someone mentionned this before. For those more informed, why the Chinese dont make a low ball offer here (or why maxit dont engage them in that)? if others are interested, there will be competition if not bingo and in such a case thats what is the market is willing to pay. As for the competition, better to have it, for the chinese, at low SPs than after the project is derisked.

They need to adjust expectations and ask the Chinese to take it for 30/40p and move one.

It is somehow strange this situation. Companies have different appetite for risk and as such, the before derisking situation is the best period for a risk taker to bid, knowing that the others are less risk aggressive and that the value of a less derisked project is lower. once the project is derisked, the risk taker firm loses its advantage of being risk taker while the others are not. plus the value of the project becomes high and even higher because of the competition.

So, it seems the best period to bid is now.

Red, the dollar and Gold is a short term stuff, so might be impacting the SP, but at the project level, it seems that something is missing especially that, as you said, FN finds the risk acceptable.
