I agree with a lot that has been said this am on this subject. IF Avacta need to raise money, it has to be at an sp well above £1.20 of last raise, my guess is a min of £1.80. However it would have to be at a discount to the sp at the time, so AS needs to get the sp well above £2 to play games! SO a combination of II's buying in and shorts closing (as well as a mega rns) could squeeze the sp to such heights in short shrift!
I understand the dilemma, so it seems a post roadshow rns more likely then! I am not sure how they can keep all attendees sitting on their hands for 3 days though!
Anyway we will get to know sooner or later!
Sounds great as always from Miles! AS surely must update the market this week with more details on AV6000 results to date (and for that matter LFT revamp), he cannot just repeat what's on the website ("chemotoxin dramatically reduced"), he must give and II's will demand chapter and verse! II's will also want to know timescale to relaunch LFT's!
The only question in my mind is when will AS update the market, before or after (Bella suggested this was possible) the roadshows, and in what level of detail (at least the roadshow slides!?).
"Keep having feelings we are so open for a hostile take over"
Any hostile takeover can only ever be successful if a majority of shareholders vote for it at a EGM, which IMO they wouldn't at anywhere near £1 or so! Some PI's might at £2, but not enough to carry the day!! Yes there would be a bidding war, but most TO offers will be rejected by the BOD anyway (at anything less than say £10). Any serious offers will have to be put to the shareholders with a yes/no acceptance recommendation from the BOD.
"unless those investors sign to the effect they will go inside until the markets are informed."
Bella, sounds like you've experienced this/ know this for sure!? Leaves a lot to trust, how do you police 20-30 people for a day or so!? So an rns could be after the first road show day then!?
Anyway it will be next week (imo) come what may, so no point sweating the detail!!
There may well will be a bit of leeway on the release of news (especially as in this case as Ph1a is not yet concluded, only progress to date can be reported and this is not a singular event!), but for sure they cannot say anything new at the roadshow without informing the market beforehand!
The website update was certainly a bit premature, but definitely not false! AS might be a bit miffed that the web designers jumped the gun, but I fully expect the words " chemotoxicity dramatically reduced" be backed by a mega RNS next week.
The dynamic duo are finally beginning to understand what running a Ftse company really requires, particularly on Corporate Governance! I don't think they had a clue before, some of their new advisers must have educated them and put them straight.
Do you think this will be a mega announcement event on Av6000 progress to date or just a routine introduction to some ii’s presenting stuff we already know (just to show that CAG are doing something)!?
Everyone, including me, is wanting the former, but……who knows!?
