As we learned last week it's just a 2 horse race now. So either way whatever happens, if Team UK win we should stand to benefit with contract values between £100-200M, if Team Resolute win, we are looking at a £600M share of the £1.6Bn FSS contract.
Good position to be in imo, personally I think Team Resolute/ H&W are favourite as this would increase shipbuilding capacity in the UK ( other yards are already full) and also the social economic benefits it would bring, and by having Navantia on board it's a win win.....

Hopefully no delay in the announcement of preferred bidder for the Fleet Solid Support programme....

Stokey - I think the figure of £600M is indeed correct if they were to win the FSS bid, not £300M...

"The Navantia/H&W bid has some hidden benefits for British shipbuiolding. Belfast desperately needs investment in both infrastrcture and skills. Navantia will do that, but becuase it will take time to get H&W up to scratch will build 1st hull in Spain. So has long-term benefits."

Not pretty that drop at all BUT agree definitely a comfortable hold now. Only £10M Mcap, just 162M shares in issue, and hearing the other day that any further funding to be debt as opposed to equity raise means this has a LONG way to go back up from here, and for starters can see a 3-5 bagger if we are selected as preferred bidder for the FSS programme - due any time now

"Shipbuilding falls within my Ministerial portfolio, and the Home Shipbuilding Credit Guarantee Scheme is a key priority for early delivery. I am bringing forward our specific proposals for the scheme to Government colleagues, with a view to updating Parliament and launching a scheme this calendar year. BEIS is not aware of any immediate lending cases that have been disadvantaged by the delay in launching the scheme."

I don't need to wait 5/8/12 yrs Consuela, just a month or so for me where we hopefully get to learn that you lot have come to the end of the road with stalling what many on here will agree is a valuable and critical asset.
Let's hope you bring back some much needed sun to the fantastic people of Islandmagee and Northern Ireland in general because after this winter I have a feeling it will be needed...
