Great post there tonight TortoiseHare - this is definitely one that will now rise like a Phoenix from the ashes so to speak. I for one expect to see one or two TR-1 notifications materialising in the coming days, be interesting to see who they are.
I think it was mentioned that the FID for the gas storage project may get expedited now. Lot's of potential news flow to come now.
That FSS contract has just suddenly opened the floodgates for other significant work, soon everyone will want a piece of Harl and the great thing is everything is getting funded through debt funding, significant investment of 77m by the consortium and 7 yrs of govt money from just one contract. 60% of the contract value could be coming Harls way which could be 960M and the contract value will have inflation added to it!
Total contract worth could end up being nearly 1.8Bn!

BP - so after a contract win of that magnitude securing the future of all 4 yards for the next 10 years just on that one contract win, investment of £77M and you think it's just business as usual?
C'mon grow up eh!

The SP will take care of itself. Nothing ever goes up in a straight line, from an investor point of view there is now serious interest in this company.

Would make sense for them to JV with copl following their exit from Russia, safe, stable jurisdiction in the US with a company who have discovered the biggest oil find in the US for decades.
I imagine they may have been on the lookout since March, time will tell....

Look the idea that Elon Musk would buy copl, to me is just plain ridiculous!

But let's just go with the theory for a moment that Elon would actually be remotely interested. So like you say wookie, 9,000 oil and gas companies to choose from.
Out of those how many of them in the US have not only announced a major find of 1.5Bn barrels of oil this year, but also got a Ryder Scott report confirming 1Bn (conservative) and now a large oil company sniffing around which is all in the public domain right now?

I don't think AM would have gotten away with calling it the largest oil find in the US in decades without being able to back it up.
Personally I wouldn't want to find out Musk is after our oil as I just wouldn't be able to take it seriously but I be able to if Exxon or Chevron revealed themselves...

You've kind of got one thing right though Earl and that is a JV with copl - only it isn't a rumour as you suggest but actual FACT because we've been told weeks ago that a "large recognised" oil company made a high level approach wanting to do a JV. I suppose it doesn't get much clearer than that. Only question remains is "when do we find out?"
I don't know if it's simply coincidence that some of the usual idiots have been absent since Thurs night and we see a steady rise Fri with no sell off into close?
Could be nothing but, AM said recently that he wanted the JV done by end of October, Mon morning will be 3 weeks since that passed, he could just surprise everyone and something land first thing Mon?

I see there is talk on twitter about a possible takeover by BAE, will reserve judgement on that for now, but SP wise could easily finish in the high 20s today...

Even just the £77M investment into the yard short term is double the actual Mcap and that is not even taking into account the mahoosive £1.6Bn contract which we will be getting a substantial portion of plus cementing the future of Harland and Wolff for the next decade, plus the possibility of other material contracts following.....

Fantastic to see yesterday's and today's news and the start of a SP re-rate which is only just started imo.
Don't forget they said that dividends would likely be coming to shareholders once they had achieved £200M annual revenues not so long ago.
I think it's fair to say this will more than make that happen now!

I would usually agree there highlandmatt but, given that they are on the verge of rolling out and commercialising the blood test following nearly 2 decades of research and development, and the fact that there is no other comparable test out there, interest for the product and the company right now is bound to be extremely high and will be on the radars of a few major biotech companies right now.

From what we've been told recently from the recent interview and the visit by Syms to see CorePath in the US last week, commercialisation is just round the corner now.
In partnership with CorePath they are looking to roll out the test nationally in the US in 2023, plus the potential for the same to happen in China fast forwarding on from the fantastic deal reached in Feb 2022.
They are also fully funded for the next 18 months. This begs the question - is there a possibility with commercialisation just round the corner that Cizzle Plc is approached by one or more global biotech companies with buyout offers?
Research has been ongoing for more than 15yrs, the blood test is now almost ready to be commercialised and rolled out, this imo could see a huge premium being offered for the company as the revenue streams globally for such a test not yet in existence could be mind blowing to other multi billion dollar organisations. Just a thought.

Stokey - what I'd be interested to know is if the procurement team will consider disqualifying Team UK's bid on the back of the public lobbying/ranting that has been taking place in an attempt to influence the decision? Not once have anyone representing Team Resolute done so, which makes me actually think that they are only doing this in support of Team UK because they know it's a done deal and it won't make any difference but are at least publicly showing their constituents - "Well we did what we could" ?

Stokey, I think given Kevan Jones MP is becoming more and more vocal on the subject of the FSS programme tells me that the announcement of preferred bidder is now IMMINENT.
As in possibly by next week we'll have that news many are waiting for...
