RE: £100 million facility26 Nov 2022 19:50
The FSS success as preferred bidder is undoubtedly great news and hence the SP is up 400% as a result.
It's also worth reminding people that the company is still making a loss and won't break even till probably late Q1 or even Q2 23.
The FSS contract is not starting till 2025 lasting for 7yrs which Harl will get staged payments (in line with whatever percentage of the FSS contract they get, somewhere between 40-60%, 640m-960m with a profit margin of around 20%, so profit for whole thing likely between 140-190m, over 7yrs will be between 20-27M a year)
The overheads for having now well over 700 personnel as well as the running of 4 yards means that in line with the company's expectations, cash breakeven is expected at around 110-120M revenue.
So breakeven will happen but the debt facility has been a necessary evil for day to day working capital. The 77m is great for investment in Belfast but that investment is needed to fulfill the FSS contract and give the company the means to do it.
So as long as the company continue to generate revenue and increase it during 2023 it will tie them nicely to the start of the FSS work from 2025.
As for Islandmagee, many think it's ready to open lol. I see no reason why the Judicial review won't be thrown out but remember that the construction of it can only begin once that's out the way and final investment decision taken. It's not a case of opening it, it's still a project which needs building!
From that point it could be constructed (so long as environmentalists have no other means of appeal) by 2028.
The podcast earlier this week suggested the share price had suffered because of Covid. Anyone that knows this share knows that that is not the case and will know of the numerous reasons which I won't go into here.
Also the commentator in the podcast confused the £55m MOD contract with us rebuilding the M55 or something like that lol.
So yes there is a bright future here as long as other blocks continue to fall into place, it's had a great run the SP reflecting the significance of the contract but don't think for one minute that there won't be a placing (if so at least it would be far higher than 6p now).
Anyone that knows the history of this company will move forward with cautious optimism like me!
